I was recently put on Paxil 25mg controlled release pills for anxiety and depression. I drink on them and I think they make me get drunker faster and off of less alcohol. I was just wondering if it is safe to drink on these pills. I drink liquer and beer and so far liquer is the only thing to really fuck with me hard when i drink on them.

Yeah, it's safe, you just have a lower tolerance as you discovered. I wouldn't go crazy with the drinking though, or drink too often, as it could interfere with your mental health in general, which you are presumably trying to improve if you are taking Paxil.

There is an interaction.... different for different folks. Made me have TERRIBLE hangovers.
Ever wonder if the reason you think you need paxil might be related to your drinking?I don't know know how often you use it but ethanol use can cause anxiety and depression, even days after a last use.
If you are taking paxil to help with these symptoms and continue to use ethanol it is a little like putting on burn cream and sticking your hand back into the fire.

i drink about 6 beers, normally ice beers, or 6 to 8 shots of liquer on weekdays and a lot more than that on the weekends. on the weekends i dont take my paxil because i like to get really really drunk and it makes me nervious to drink a lot on them.

You can die from drinking even if you aren't taking any meds at all. Alcohol is not a safe drug in high doses.
I wouldn't drink a whole lot on Paxil -- i.e. don't get so smashed that you pass out or black out -- but then, you shouldn't be doing that anyway.

my gf was drinking while she was on paxil, and everything seemed okay.. there was a tolerance issue (ie she'd be acting like a drunkard and i'd look at her glass and she had hardly drank anything) was rather amusing.. and i usually got to finish her drinks 
ye, im on paxil now 30 ...i take it everyday...and drink pretty often...i have been on it for a while now...but when i first started it...it took me a long time to realize that i couldnt drink as much as i used to...i would get SUPER wasted...and i would black out off very little alchol...but now i know at what point to stop before becoming a mess...but i guess everyone is different...i would say test it out...and think about if getting WASTED every weekend is actually worth stopping the meds...
