Okay so this might be a silly question. But are Irish car bombs called Irish car bombs in Ireland or is it offensive? If not what are they called there? My husband and I plan to go and I don't want to piss a bunch of people off..

I apologise for laughing because thats a great questiom, maybe just ask for the ingredients (eg. pint of X and shot of Y) rather than the slang?

ive never heard of that "drink".
i dont think you would piss many people off.
what part of ireland you heading to

It's a pint of Guinness then a shot of baileys Irish cream and jamesons Irish whiskey you drop in the pint and chug... Tasty creamy goodness. We are planning a trip all over.. Probably going in a year or so.. I was pondering this question and decided to ask here in case there was a more pc way of asking...

Yeah I wouldn't call it that unless you want to risk a cursing out. Same with a black & tan, it's a "half and half"! =D

I spent some time in Ireland this summer traveling from Galway along the coast stopping in some other places, eventually ending up in Dublin. It was absolutely amazing. Great people and so beautiful.

Where are you planning on going?
