Benzos Drinking and Klonopin

Ive drank on xanax and that did me dirty. Will it be the same with klonopin?
Also, is it very dangerous to do or not?

also is klonopin a benzo or an opiate?
 
Klonopin is a benzo same as Xanax. It will do you just as dirty if you mix it with alcohol i'm sure.

It's a benzo. If you mix benzos and alcohol then you will turn into a mess. I quite frequently mix benzos and alcohol, but then again I'm rather foolish and quite like being a mess.
 
yes drinking on benzos is very dangerous. blackout doing a bunch of dumb stuff and not even remembering. it also has a very bad effect on any family or friends that witness it. not to mention the combined cns depression could be fatal.

if one were to drink on a benzo think low dose(.25mg) of xanax since it's so short acting, even then take the drinking slow. as for klonopin i would not recommend it if xanax has already done you wrong as klonopin lasts a lot longer.

i highly discourage mixing benzos and alcohol if you have already had bad effects happen to you. but if you must, keep the doses very low and drink slow.<---- i cannot stress that enough because you never know if that next drink or extra .5mg will be the one to send you over the edge.
 
Apparently I'm not too bad when I'm drunk and on benzos. Memories are hazy of course, but most people find me endearing.

I recently went to a baby shower on 40mg Valium, drank a bottle of wine, and did vodka shots. Can't remember talking to certain people but apparently I was having a blast and didn't make a fool out of myself.

But yeah, it's dangerous at best.

TL;DR: don't mix benzos/alcohol, unless you're going to a baby shower?

that's whats i used to think also. i used to always mix alcohol and benzos carelessly and thought i was the life of the party. but looking back, were people laughing with me or at me for acting a fool?

i went on like that for awhile until the day i mixed 1.5mgs of lorazepam with vodka - something i had done countless times before - i had a blackout, destroyed my girlfriends house for no reason. i should also add that this is way out of character for me. i am as non violent as a person could be. i cant begin to explain the fear and confusion of coming to in a hospital bed with restraints on and no idea where i was or how i got there.

and have since had various friends have similar situations happen to them.

when on alcohol and benzos you most defiantly are more intoxicated than what you think even if you may not feel like it. and i can just about guarantee if someone chooses to mix alcohol and benzos on a regular basis that they will at some point have a blackout and do something they regret.
