So, whenever i get some cash i wanna buy either meth, benzos, or opiates. But if i cant find any i end up taking a walk to the liquor store. Anyone else do this? Lol don't get me wrong i like alcohol but i prefer everything else more.

totally. when i'm not trying to blow 60 dollars on a single high....i go to the liquor store. But just getting super stoned does the trick usually also and won't leave me with a hangover

the problem is that when you get drunk you end up fiending the drugs even more

Sounds like it's more about ideal time you need to fill. I use to be much the same way having been an alcoholic in college and a heroin addict afterwards. Honestly I'd indulge every night as is normal for people who drink daily but Sundays I'd start early because I'd have nothing to do. I use to joke if I was bored I'd drink enough to start singing while sitting on the kitchen floor.

That behavior is bad because those are times you should try to better yourself. At almost 30 years old I now understand the true value in boredom and wish I could go back and slap myself... I don't regret anything I just wish I knew this sooner for my personal benefit.

But yeah until recently I was there with you. I still smoke weed daily try to keep it at the end of the day like 9-10pm because it's rare I will need to be productive that late.

I only drink in social situations anymore. If I'm at someone's place and they ask me if I'd like a drink I'll usually accept, otherwise nah. Back when I regularly used heroin I would NEVER spend any money on alcohol; all expendable funds were relegated for opiates and marijuana.

Never was a big fan of alcohol, one of the few things I never really abused too much. The "high" is too chaotic and disorienting to be truly recreational IMHO...plus it just feels like it takes an awesome toll on your body if you go hard for a protracted period of time, moreso than other substances.

Suzuki: same here, down to the whole almost being 30 and realizing that we can do better things with our time. I was pretty big on the hooch from 25-28 (current age). I let it continue for so long because it was always functional for me. I also still smoke weed often, almost always in evenings as a rule.

One of the big reasons I stopped was because of health concerns as Burnt outlined above. Alcohol is poisonous :( we can joke all we want. It s true.
