Drinking after Lyrica and benzo use

Around noon today I took 150mg Lyrica and around 15mg temazepam and I'm wanting to have a couple beers. The time between the would be about 10 hours. I've mixed 2 beers with 15mg temazepam before and have been fine, had an enjoyable experience with no blackouts or anything. I've also mixed 50mg lyrica and 2 beers and I got a nice buzz from it. So I'm wondering if it would be safe to have a couple beers? I'll also note that I have no alcohol tolerance other than what I might have gotten from my benzo use.

I don't know if those drugs will be in your system. Shockingly enough I have taken neither of them (temazepam is not in the States).

But if you have a low alcohol tolerance you should always stick to light beer and drink slow (maybe one beer every 45 minutes). You'll be tired before your drunk. Alcohol is strong enough on its own. In fact if I were you I would practice a few times with alcohol before you start throwing in drugs that may or may not be in your blood stream. But do what you want. If your going to a bar or some kind of environment where heavy drinking is encouraged or expected then good luck. Drugs in your system or not.

I'm not going anywhere just sitting at home watching tv. I'm in the process of drinking 1 beer and I'll leave it at that. I should mention when I said no alcohol tolerance I mean I rarely drink, I have done my share of drinking in the past I just haven't touched the stuff in 3-4 years.

You took a low dose of temazepam, and even though it wil still be in effect ten hours later, one beer will be perfectly fine. The pregab is less of a concern at this point, fwiw.

Thanks. Like I mentioned earlier I've mixed each with beer on separate occasions but was concerned with the half life of the two and how much it was going to be a factor seeing as how much lyrica potentates benzos (and seemingly alcohol).

Yeah you should be fine, lyrica or gabapentin has not really potentiated alcohol for me by much and neither have benzos UNLESS your recreationally using them, or using very high amounts. If your prescribed a safe dose of benzos daily and don't abuse them, then they don't really effect you when drinking alcohol atleast not for me. Only when in the past i recreationally mixed them.
