Does anyone have any experience of travelling to Canada with a drink driving ban? I was banned nearly four years a go for being twice over the limit (I know, stupid as fuck) but I want out of this country and have family who live in Canada so would love to leave here for there. After reading the immigration website I'm a bit confused, on the one hand it says I'm barred on the other it says I might get in.

Has anyone any experience of going there or being refused entry with such a ban?

Cheers. :)

I think the Canadian Embassy would be far more qualified to answer that question accurately than a bunch of druggies :P

Generally the consensus is:
Don't declare it and it's not found out then you're in. If it is found then you're definitely not allowed in.
Declare it and it could go either way depending on the mood of the person who goes through your application and the severity of the crime.
