I think 'Dreamscope' is a good term to describe the general experience. AMT is very good at putting me in this state.

It's not 'Closed Eye Visuals' because I can close my eyes and there is nothing, but at the peak of the experience, if you find yourself a nice quiet spot, you can close your eyes and have these kind of waking dreams.

I've had full stories played out when in a Dreamscape but at the same time being totally aware of what is going on around me and if needed I could just open my eyes and it would stop.

AMT is probably the easiest substance to get that puts you in this state that I am aware of but are there others that do the same? Not all out 'Trips' or even CEVs, just something that makes you relax enough to put you in a dreamscape.

Fly Agaric usually does pretty much the same thing but not as intense and 'real' as AMT dreamscapes. The same goes to a lesser extense with self hypnosis.

hmm i think i know what you mean by dreamscape. though for me it is more like an imagination powerup, where i can drift off into these very vidid places and still feel guided by my own thoughts. not visual, but like i said, a lot like being a kid and imagining the world around you rather than looking at it objectively.

for me the best places like these are at the tail end of a mushroom experience, but also, like you, with aMT (though i have little experience with that). a lower dose of 4 aco DMT is also a nice place to relax and imagine, and self explore.

i must say that though i like the state, i usually asociate it with comedowns, and i dont think i would take something just to put me just there.

I have never experienced this on a psych, but have not yet tried aMT (maybe one day in the springtime...). Definitely dissociatives will let you traverse dreamscapes. And I do think there is something to be said about a similarity in brain activity with dreaming and dissociation.
