I awoke in the morning
remembering my dream
only to frown when I
realized I was not there.
The music was playing,
floating upon clouds.
Angel's were smiling,
True lover's embraced in discovery.
The ring of the telephone..
angry tears.
Just another mistake,
a dream too real, gone too far.
Walking the streets
I remembered my innonence.
My mother's sweet lullabies.
Just a distant memory.
And upon my soul,
is this burden of envy.
A sorrowful heart, I've been split in two.
My mouth spills out silent words.
My guilty mind, stuck in remembrance.
I awoke in the morning,
remembering your touch.
Saddened by reality,
lonliness crept in with the sunlight
through the shades.
The chords strike a sad melody.
The infamous Romeo and Juliet
bith turn away.
Both burned with desire of one last look.
The telephone rings.
No more answers for
the screaming tears.
A dream of true love
has become my nightmare.
Walking the streets,
I remembered all the smiles.
Laughter ringing in my ears,
now dulled to a hum.
And upon my soul,
is this burden of envy.
Sorrowful heart, I've split in two.
My mouth spills out silent words.
My guilty mind stuck in remembrance.

"It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes a chance. It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give. And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live."
