So, I done a CWE on 32 pills of paracetamol and codeine. Each capsule contained:
8mg of Codeine phosphate
500mg of paracetamol
Non-active ingredients:
As well as the active ingredients, the capsules also contained:
Sodium starch glycolate
Magnesium stearate
sodium laurilsulfate
sodium metabisulphite
I followed the steps correctly.
For filtration, I used a funnel. I took a teabag and removed the contents, and blocked it into the narrow choke. I then took two sheets of paper towel and folded it into a square (around 4 times). I did this several times, but the solution was still cloudy. I cooled the solution twice and filtered around 5 times, changing the filter each time (I also used some napkins). It was still cloudy.
I also had a (small) dose of mushrooms. A good level 1, and I consumed a single beer of around 450ml over an hour and a half. The only thing that could have gone wrong is the solution wasn't cold enough, but it felt REALLY cold when I put my finger into it, and the solution on the upper half of the glass had already frozen and turned to crystal.
What I really need to know is what caused the solution to be so cloudy? Have I done it wrong? I still had a large amount of filtered material which I flushed down the toilet. I doubt I consumed a dose large enough to cause anything severe, but I'm still worried I likely. Should I be worried? What should I be on the look out for?
Thanks.
