This is an amazing report of 2 male patients who developed severe methemoglobinemia and hemolytic anemia after ingesting what they believed to be a psychedelic phenethylamine — 2C-E — purchased over the internet from a Chinese chemical manufacturer. Subsequent investigation revealed that the bitter yellow liquid they ingested was actually pure aniline, an organic compound whose metabolites are powerful oxidizing agents.

They took 4mL, guess they didn't do any research at all on dose, properties. They'd probably have almost killed themselves without the mix-up.

I mean...if you have trustworthy research chemical suppliers, this isn't an issue. I tend to stick to domestic for mine because the risk of things like this happening are lower.

I believe I read about a guy who got heavy metal poisoning after ingesting an RC he ordered from China.

Aniline , from memory stinks quite a bit, how fuckng dull were they to think this was 2ce , even a simple reagent test should have been done

Fuck even getting it in liquid form would have rung alarm bells.

not for people who dont have bluelight ^^^ Itd all be so simple if we could just take lsd and not worry about it. Ya there would be a few here and there that would be on for the rc's for pure research purposes but aside from them, lsd would remain king and there would be no deaths, unless you are just a complete fuck up, and then chances are, your gonna do somethign stupid to end your life anyway. Darwinism at its finest.

Hence why i have only ever done confirmed chemicals from an extremely reputable and trustworthy source, not on the internet.

These guys are lucky they didn't die.

^no need for speculation on what the substance was; it was already tested:

DEA confiscated all product remaining in the men's possession, and FDA identified the substance as aniline, an industrial solvent known to cause methemoglobinemia.

Aniline is reactive and oxidates hemoglobin, converting it to methemoglobin.

Okay so it was obviously not 2C-E which I have taken nearly 150mg this weekend with NO ill effect....
