DPT/K 50mg (im) each - Purple Passion Prose of the Propyl Product

Decided that If I was going to get to know the dialkyltryptamines well, I needed to do a hefty dose from the safty of launching from a subterrainian ketamine platform. Looked ast Erowid and saw 50-mg was the verge of a heavy trip, so I IMed the ketamine first (50mg and with some ketamine tolerance) followed 15 minutes later by 50mg of DPT. I knew it was different about a couple of minutes in when Jimi Hendrix/Purple Haze started playing in my headphones. Then it happened - none of this gentle onset from 20mg IM, but a big tsunamii of psychic purplle rolled over me and...

The drug was inside the music and being pumped into my body via the headphones. Images of creamy milk chocolate mixed with the purple and just swirled around my body, my head, everywhere. Should I open my eyes, oh fuck, quick close them again as the room was vibrating itself loose under this onslaught. At the same time as being overwhelming, it was actually quite gentle in that it never pushed it so far that I felt nervous. Then 3rd Stone from the Sun started leaking into my brain and I was outa there (I say I, any subjectivity had long been switched off. I - for the want of a better word - was just recording it forposterity. Opened eyes again, even the images thrown off objects were producing their own echo images, best to ignore this I thought and didn't open my eyes for an eternity (well about an hour I think) after that it all gets a little hazy (purple of course!) bas even thoughts were producing echo thoughts, which produced their own echo thoughts and all the time I could hear Jimi Hendrix doing bad things to his guitar. At one point I remember thinking 'Are you experienced - well if this isn't it I don't know if I could handle any more'. After that I know I sat up and shouted 'fuckin; yes' a couple of times, but other than that it's all one orgasmic blend of Jimi Hendrix, DPT and purple. I never knew there were so many different hues of the colour purple!

After all that I think I must have fallen asleep I was so exhausted as my next memory was of waking up with the Moody Blues singing 'Questions' and two very comfortable cats lying on me. I still am trying to put together what made that so different (other than the dose) to my previous DPT trips, which I'd thought of as fairly strong up to that point

^ Yes I know I know. Getting 1st hand experience now! I see what breaking thru is all about now. Strange that IM DMT didn't do it

Fishface: I know & it had to be Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, didn't it (glad it was actually - it was perfect for the occasion). Oh and less of the 'old'!! =D
 
Well, 50mg is a pretty small dose of DPT in my experience (at least for insufflation... ugh, never again!). Have you never gone higher than that? You called this a tsunami? wait till you go a bit higher and start calling it an apocalypse ;). (Though I respect that you're being careful with this leviathan of a psychedelic).

Very interesting though. As mentioned before, this combo will likely be my next psychedelic adventure, though I would usually use 100mg of DPT.
 
That makes sense. I also find that, except for a few cases, the first time or two I encounter a dramatically new state of mind, I'm only able to sort of stare in awe. It's hard to actually get anything from it until it's more familiar.

Well according to the DPT chart in Erowid, 50mg IM is the lower end of a strong trip when IMed and I'd have to agree. Until that point te max I'd ever had was 25mg IM and that didn't have much to distinguish it from a strong dose of acid other than the length. Mind you, that said there was a lot of blood at the injection site when I recovered, so some might have leached directly into a small vein (normal IM injections are nigh on bloodless. There must have been a good 5ml of blood had oozed out before it had stopped and from what I've read of IV DPT, 20mg is a blow you away dose). Add to that the fact that I seem unusually sensitive to tryptamines and I don't think I'd evenn consider 100mg IM (18mg of 2C-E doesn't bother me in the slightest, but low doses of iprocin or mushrooms fairly splattered me all over the place

Staring in awe (but with eyes closed!) would be a good description of what it was like. With tolerance I'm not sure just what part the 50mg of ketamine had to play in the whole thing, but I'm sure it helped a little. Next time I'm going to do it without the aid of a ketamine cushion (but I think I';ll leave it a couple of weeks before doing that as I've tripped/K-holed enough these past few days to give me plenty to think about for a while

I think the next tryptamine I will work with is DPT, whenever that is. I would bet that adding it to an established AMT high would produce a very useful and positive experience. After that trip of mine the other night, I've decided to try a few more AMT combinations in the future.
 
Believe me my friend, I know what you mean when you talk of "staring in awe".

If you read my last TR posted here with DPT + DiPT, I describe an "angel" that is a dome of gold and silver geometeic eyes that formed above me, and on its top there was a perfectly circular window that opened into Nothing/Infinity. This was with eyes open, btw :).

Funny how the typtamine/phenethylamine thing goes though. I personally cannot imagine taking more than 10mg 2C-E... and actually find the idea ominous...

No and I thought there would have been a bit when things were obviously going a lot further than they'd ever gone before. Once I knew I was locked into something heavy duty i knew resistance was futile so I just gave up any semblance of control and it was incredible (the only thought was,'have I taken enough to die? No, welll just sit back and see what happens').

Jamshyd, when I was opening my eyes it only made a little difference as the swirling geometric images were still there only with eyes closed there was a rich velvet background and not some kalidescopic version of my front room. I thought it best to close my eyes and just focus what little I could on the music
 
50mg IM is a pretty strong dosage. I've gone as high as 100mg insufflated, and I'd say 60mg or so IMed will take one there. But it is hard to compare as they come on differently. IMed DPT comes on very smooth compared to insufflated DPT. So it is so hard to compare with insufflated which hits me VERY hard and is downright uncomfortable. I wish I had never snorted DPT actually, I might have a better relationship with it, had I not been so traumatized by those three 100mg insufflated experiences.
 
Haha, insufflating DPT is in and of itself a near-death experience ;)

I, too, find 100mg insufflated to be a fine dose, and would probably be trying 70mg IM next time. It would be at least a year since the last time I tried DPT. As I mentioned in another post, it will also be part of figuring out what on earth is it that makes me not want to IM things in spite of being fine with IVing.

F&B: I am coming to the conclusion that you and I have very similar psychological reactions to psychedelics, especially after all our discussions on Ketamine and now your response to DPT.

Got to admit, other than your sensitivity to PEAs, we do seem to get the same thing out of the same drugs. You've even had opiate & amphetamine habits if I remember correctly (hence the opening comment!)

MGS - 1st time I understand, but you snorted it another two times after that? But it tastes horrible (I did put a drop of the soln on my tongue in the interests of science) and 100mg means an awful lot of 'drip'. It did come on amazingly smoothly though, nothing that would trigger a panicky reaction (like the stops & starts you get with mushrooms via the oral rioute)
 
Better late than never (answering a post). Yeah, well this was before I was familiar with injection techniques....The reason I went back the next night was the sheer shock factor...I'd never had an experience so tramatic and I just couldnt believe the whole thing. Looking back, I dunno what I was thinking but it seemed like what I needed to do.

The third time was many months later.

And the taste to me wasn't that bad...it actually tasted like the trip itself, if that makes any sense.
