I understand the need to monitor this site closely so hats off to the Moderators (duplicative posts clearly irritate the shit out of you). I have read ALL the info on searches, etc. but it's daunting to say the least.

So, first off, apologies for not devoting more time searching today for an answer. HOWEVER, being "new", I would ask for a bit of patience and please no lecturing :( Just some straighforward responses from "those who know waayyyyyyyy more than me)

Started 3 years ago taking 20 mgs Norco 2-3 per week. Now, daily routine:
Morning - 20mg oxycodone, 10mg norco, 30mg adderall (like the speed buzz for work)
4 pm - same oxy and norco dose (no adderall)

So, same story, different day---still get a buzz but NOTHING like it used to be. Don't wanna just keep dosing heavier, so how long off EVERYTHING before I can "capture the magic" and will I ALWAYS have to start/stop to avoid heavier dosing.

and will I ALWAYS have to start/stop to avoid heavier dosing.
Pretty much yes. Tolerance to drugs means how much you need to achieve the same effects. The only real way of lowering your tolerance is to take time off. There are other methods of potentiating the drugs so you they hit you stronger, but this does nothing for your tolerance. There are ways of minimizing development of tolerance with proper dosing schedules and even taking a delta agonist like dextromethorphan, but really time off is the only cure.

There is no set amount of time we can calculate. Once you have gone through withdrawal your tolerance will drop significantly, but having been on opioids for 3 years I would expect that when you started using again it would climb up quite quickly.

There is no current method you are going to be able to get high off opioids twice a day without needing more and more drugs.
