Dosing higher on DXM - Experiences???

I'm just curious how many people here have tried DXM, and of those how many have liked it. I have done it a couple of times at 300mg-ish doses and loved every minute of it, and find it hard to imagine anybody not liking it.
Also, I'm wanting to eventually get to a 900mg dose and was wondering if anybody has done doses of that level and what they thought of it?
I've already read a bunch of info on erowid but was wanting some personal experiences.

I've tried it at about 300 mgs twice and 1 lower dose. I enjoy it, but not as much as Ketamine or psychedelics like LSD/mushrooms/mescaline. I will always opt for those if they are around over DXM but it is definitely and interesting trip and I'm glad i've tried it.
 
I've done it, 300mg and 600mg, has nothing on other substances for me and I won't be doing it again.
 
Tried it a couple of times, only time I really tried it with the hope of it being a positive recreational experience I dosed 600mg. Didn't really enjoy it overall, the negative effects outweighed the positive ones which weren't that great anyway. Made me feel sick, threw up alot.

That was a long time ago, haven't done it since. I think I'd only consider trying it again if it came in the form of pure DXM powder, which I don't see happening.
 
i'm a big fan of dxm. a nice weird euphoric feeling. i like the fact you can sit motionless and feel sober. i've used it approx 20 times over 3 years and have introduced it to about 20 friends. only one person did not enjoy the feeling due to weird effects she was experiencing. i did however notice a permanent tolerance. or it may be a state of mind. a 300mg dose with barely any noticeable changes, that's after long enough breaks. i find the perfect dose to be around 3/4 of a bottle / 450mg. one of my all time favourite combos is dxm+thc. did it four times. feels nothing like weed or dx, the feeling is quiet amazing. if you want to experience hallucinations consume 600mg and smoke a bit of bud during the peak. i'm yet to go over 600mg. the nausea would be too much to handle. might give the extraction a go, one day.
 
I've taken DXM doses of about 400mg and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've found lower doses combined with alcohol to be extremely fun, as well.
 
one of my best trips was about 600mg of dxm plus 1 doi tab. Man that was intense!!!!!!!!!! ;D

seen spiders coming out of peoples faces. had no sense of gravity was swaying around left and right. Also had the whole world caving into me and exploding at an light speed!!!!.

I think i smoked some weed during the come up too. Weed helps with the nausea/sickness.
 
Never been able to chug cough medicine, just the smell makes me sick.

But I guess its something I should deff try once.

One of my favourite substance.

I tried it many many times at different plateau. Incredible fun with it. I've call it SpongeBob because i alway see bob & Patrick when I take dxm.
 
First experience with this was around the 200mg to 300mg area, not much happened that night other than everything looked bland and "gray" as i described it at the time.

I bumped it upto about 600mg the next time i tried it, the room started morphing in a strange way like my eyes were being crushed in a vice (sorry its the best way i could describe it) at this point my GF walked into the room (not knowing that i was out of it). Told her i was sleepy and went straight to bed. Could not get to sleep at that point and spent the next few hours watching my room go down the drain.

It really does not look to be a drug for me, yeah it was some fun at that period in my life but there are much better substances out there (imho)

I maybe wrong but for the point of HR isn't this a really dangerous combo? I know you said low dose but still, people should keep it in mind.
 
Yes, it is a very dangerous combo and I don't suggest that anyone try it. However, when done cautiously it can be very fun. One must be extremely careful about the amount of alcohol consumed. A very small amount of alcohol will add an interesting buzz to the DXM high. Always start low and work your way up.
 
Tried it a few times 300mg and 600mg. Don't think I got to fully trip both times as I vomed up the dxm.

If I were to try it again I would get the gel caps and not drink the syrup.
 
Tried it, really like it but still trying to work out what my preferred dosage is. Haven't really broken into the 3rd plateau yet, but seem to prefer lower 2nd - mainly so I can remember more of the experience. Trying to also counter-balance this with moderation (and succeeding so far).

IMHO, if you're not lying down listening to music and letting it 'guide' your experience, you're missing out.
 
Tried 3-4 times. Never fun sorta messy mental entertainment. Given thats its a OTC medicine cant we import it like the yanks do? Powdered and pure? or is it under the controlled imports?
 
ausie dex is messy i heard, please if you have the means do an acid to base extraction and get the gunks out and get the dextromethorphan for your needs, gunk is bad. its awesome either way though, some love it some hate it. i think its a colossal mindgame for us humans in a compund but a fun one. music is the way to go loud if possible with ganja imho. good luck.
 
I've tried doses of 300-600mg and am looking at breaking into the higher 3rd and 4th plateaus.

I usually extract the DX out of the cough syrup cause my first time trying it left me puking heaps and I've never been able to stand the smell of the stuff since.

Should be taking a 900mg trip tonight :D

It annoys me how many people say they didn't like it because "I WENT TO DA CLUB AND JUST FELT WEIRD HURR DURR"

When your robo-tripping dark room and music are the way to go, this is the drug that goes best with music period in my opinion.
