Dosing an unknown amount of 2C-E

I may be able to find myself some 2C-E, only problem is the total amount of powder is unknown.

The source says that its "8 hits" which is obviously an objective amount (most likely under 150mg however) and really tells me nothing about what a real safe amount to take is.

A possible solution i was thinking of was to dissolve the total volume of powder in something like 40ml of vodka, and then slowly titrate to an effective dose, starting with 0.25/0.5ml and finding the sweet spot. Is this a viable way to dose this stuff without losing my mind/hurting myself?.

One more question, does this stuff tend to effect people with a large degree of variance? If i wanted to give my buddies some of this i don't want to give them a decent dose for myself and have them wigging the hell out off the same amount.

Don't fucking take it, jesus.

For future reference, refrain from buying research chemicals sold in "hit" quantities. This is foolish and why the hell would you want to? There are so many numerous reliable sources to get something like 2c-e in a gram amount for a small amount of money.

I assume he would weigh it out so that one hit isn't "too much". If you're sure it's 2C-E, you could try taking one hit (use vodka to split it up evenly) and see if that does anything. If not, wait a day or two and try taking two hits. Go from there. I would really advise buying an accurate scale though so you know how much you took.

Titrating is by definition a relatively safe way to go unless you have a super toxic compound on your hands - if the identity is known then I would take an extra safe margin and calculate how low that means you have to start.

What is better is to just order a scale, the things don't have to cost more than about 25$ - just check our Big & Dandy Scale Thread to see what range is available to order from the net. You can find that thread in the list that is our Psychedelic Index. Click below in my signature for it and scroll.

If you are trying out a compound like this, chances are that some other time in your life a scale accurate to milligrams will come in handy. It can save you from some really shitty accidental experiences and the annoyance of titration (even though titration is technically one of the safest ways to go in case there is a possibility that you have a different chemical than you think).

2C-E does not have an extreme variance like 2C-T-7 can have for example, but on the other hand it does have a steep dose-response curve. There is a big difference between 16 and 18 mg and again between 18 mg and 20 mg for example. Or maybe this sudden drastic change in intensity:dose ratio is a little higher or a little lower for some. This means that if you choose to titrate (I still say get a scale, it's a vital thing to have), once you are getting effects from your doses, increase with smaller and smaller increments. You can't just keep doubling otherwise you will indeed 'wig' the fuck out.

Your friends would need to titrate up from the point you are getting effect at, you could call this the threshold point but I do mean significant effect and not just (hey I *think* I feel *something* and nothing more). It is really unwise for you to determine what an appropriate dose for them would be, that you have found by titration. It is just too vague practice.

Be careful, it is a potent 2C.

edit: in response to the posts above...
- 'don't fucking take it' is a pretty useless reaction, we all have our ways to try and find some reliability, it should go without saying that you have to trust the person you are getting this from otherwise he could put you in a lot of trouble if he is just a dude wanting to make money who doesn't care. And with titration or weighing yourself you can 'fucking take it'.
- Assuming a hit is not too much is a bad thing to do. Despite how you may contrue what I said earlier don't just rely on other people's judgement like that. You can trust that it is 2C-E and that he is not getting you killed with DOI if it is a friend of yours who took the chemical himself. Otherwise watch out and take a 1 mg test dose anyway (with a scale!). But you should not trust that his interpretation of a hit is the same as yours. Maybe he has tolerance or has personal biochemistry that makes him use 35 mg as a single dose. Maybe he wants to give you a good deal so that you are satisfied, and give you a good amount that is more than sufficient. Vendors are known to pull such careless shit, so a vague acquaintance may do the same.

Given the possibility that it might not be 2c-e, and might be one of the super-potent PEAs, I'd dissolve a miniscule amount before hand in its own solution, so you can titrate up from sub-miligram doses. If you got a DOx or 25x-nbome compound, it could be dangerous to take a even a mid single digit mg dose, I know this will delay your being able to try the drug at fully psychoactive levels, but it is most definitely necessary to mitigate the risk involved (recall the fatal mislabeled bromo-dragonfly incident). Really this should be standard procedure for trying any RC you acquire.

For your second question, yes this one does have some serious variability in preferred doses for people, so I wouldn't assume what you think is good is what they think is good.

I'm assuming you're buying this from someone IRL whom you find to be trustworthy, if you're considering buying something so vague as this over the internet I would simply not do it, the chances of it being as advertised would be infinitesimal.

If it is an 25X-NBOMe compound then an oral test with single digit mg doses will not give you any effect because they are not active orally. Given the prices of these compounds this also makes it less likely but I agree that it's always a possibility. If you use a scale and do not get effects at doses you should then I would become quite suspicious indeed and return to the source of the material.
Anyway just in case it is in fact DOB-dragonfly or such shit, I already said that an 1 mg test is what you should do in any of these cases but whatever it is... also handle the powder properly. Try to do your best not to touch the powder and even if you think you didn't, wash your hands afterwards. Don't touch your eyes or nose or mouth during handling.

All of this should be in IlluminatiBoy's written procedure for RC use.

I'll definitely check out the scale thread, i may delve into some 4-AcO-DMT in the future so it'll be a good investment.

Thanks for the info guys, didn't know about that particular dose response relationship that this stuff has. I was doing to progress in linear increments, say from 1.25->2.5->3.75 etc. In that case i'll dissolve in a larger volume of solvent to allow for more precision with the progression.

I was thinking along the same lines with the DOB/dragonfly train of thought, I'll do the super light titration first as well if thats the safest route to go. I'm gonna head to the thread solipsis mentioned though, sounds like there's alot of good info there.

:o Like, duh *smacks self in forehead*. I need to get off the computer for a while and clear my head....

For 2C-E , some people consider 10mg to be a good trip and others need 35mg... one "hit" is incredibly irresponsible. That being said, get yourself a milligram scale and you'll be fine.

Yes, buy the powder form of 2c-e and get a good milligram scale, everyones body chemistry is different. It is best to be safe with rc's. Also some rc's are more pure chems then others...

I think you should ask whoever you're obtaining it from how much you're getting. If they can't weigh it up, then I'd agree that it's best not to take it - since if you believe you could have anywhere up to 150mg, you could have anywhere between 1 and 20 trips in a single "hit", not something you could be very accurate dosing. If you know for example it's exactly 150mg, 135mg or 20mg though, you can use liquid measurement to dose accurately.

You should get a scale if you're going to be taking these chemicals. If your friend is giving you them then he's either very irresponsible, or has a scale himself - if he has a scale, get it weighed or at least find out the weight :)

As always with new chemicals, remember to take a 1mg allergy test dose first. :)
