Okay this afternoon at around 2:30 I insufflated approximately 25mg of Focalin Ir (dextromethylphenidate) i preceded to feel very stimulated and cleaned my house. The effects started to subside at around 3:30 and i felt sober around 4:45. Now to my query I have 30mg of Adderall Xr that I poured out into a folded paper and thoroughly crashed into a fine powder. I was planning on sublingualy ingesting the adderall powder later, but i am concerned about any interactions that might occur because of my previous dose of focalin. Mainly i am concerned that the Focalin will block the Adderall keeping me from getting high.
If Adderall works by releasing dopamine to maintain activation of dopamine receptor cells for a longer periods of time. And Focalin being the dextro from of methylphenidate without the levomethylphenidate (which does not do very much) I assume it would essentially act the same as methylphenidate does on the brain just more potent. So if Methylphenidate works as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor so it partially blocks removal of "used" dopamine from the synapse so more dopamine collects in the synapse than normal overstimulated the dopamine receptor cells. Because of this I was wondering if the Focalin would block the effects of the Adderall even if i cant feel the Focalins presence any more.
