Bupe dopesick at work - more subs or heroin?

So I have been a daily heroin user (insufflate) and today I Decided to take suboxone strips. This is my first time taking sub in abou a year so I only took half the strip at about 11amET. My Problem is it's now 3pmET and I'm not feeling to great, do I take morE of the sub ? Do I ( or should i say can i) go buy some dope? Any info would help being I'm stuck at work and dope sick
 
Ah man, the last thing you should be contemplating is injesting some diaC. Ive been on suboxone for a year and a half now and I can tell in the evenings when I'm ready for my dose, I start sweating, get irritable, ect. I would take a partial piece of your remaining suboxone to see if that does the trick, if need be, take the rest of it, but you'll find that you may need that other piece for tomorrow morning. Buprenorphine has a very long half-life and if you decide to do H you will hardly feel it at all, IF you feel it at all. Not to mention it would be a waste because it would cause the buprenorphine to de-tatch from your receptors. Not tryna tell you what to do, but pick one and stick with it.
 
Definitely dose more sub.. how much did you take in the morning?

I assume half of what you took in the morning would be appropriate. DO NOT go cop dope....

1.... if your trying to stay off..
2... you wont feel it until the suboxone is completely out of your system.. TRUST ME
 
^^ Heartily seconded, it will take so much of your preferred opiate to get the buprenorphine to release from the opioid receptors, that you seriously risk overdosing. The suboxone on the other hand, will make you feel tons better quite quickly with no complications. why waste the money ya know? :D
 
I actually disagree with everyone and suggest you get some dope...BUT THIS IS BASED ON THE ASSUMPTION YOU ARE USING THE BUPE TO GET BY FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND NOT TO GET SOBER!

IF you started taking Bupe b/c your goal is to get off of the H, then of course DO NOT buy/use more H! Not only will you not get high, but you will have to go back into w/d b4 u take more Bupe and will also be risking precip. w/d.

But, like I said, if you are just using the Bupe as a temporary measure to keep you from getting sick and plan to continue using H soon, then just buy some H and stop taking the Bupe, simple.

IF still going to use soon THEN > buy dope and use it
IF trying to get sober THEN > DON'T BUY/USE DOPE!

Perhaps if you elaborate your intentions or goals more helpful advise can be given
 
^He would need a lot more H than usual to overcome the bupe blockade. If one is sick at work after taking subs that morning and needs a quick fix a little more bupe is a much better idea than a ton of heroin where you are only guessing and how much you need to break through.
 
yeah unless he took less than 1/4 of the strip sublingually, he isn't going to feel dope for a good 24 hours, much less the 4-5 he was talking about.
 
I think you misunderstood me, or I may have been unclear, when I suggested he use the heroin, I meant; use it ontop of the Bupe in his system to make him feel just a little better, I was NOT suggesting he try to get "high" as that really wouldn't even be possible as the posters above mentioned.
Yes, the Bupe in one's system will block a regular dose of heroin from getting one high, euphoric etc...BUT, that does not mean the heroin will have no effects at all. Some opiate receptors are unoccupied, and taking a normal (for a specific person that is) dose of heroin will fill in those receptors and produce just enough of an effect to make one feel better, or more accurately--feel normal. You won't get high, but the heroin will make things better, unless the OP's brain is flooded with Bupe, but I don't think that is the case
 
i always use a small amount of dope the first day or two on subs.

The sub makes me feel mostly better, but still a little off and when i take the heroin i dont get anywhere close to high, but it makes me feel 100% normal.

then about the third day usually ive adjusted and feel great on just sub.
