Opioids Dope Smell?

i used to shoot dope back in the day and am now on subs and was micron filtering and IVing those for about 6months but im back to snorting and the only taste i ever got was the taste of benzyl alcohol and it was only 1% that.. damn thats some strong shit.
but no i never got the taste of dope after shooting subs.

I don't know how old you guys are but after reading your posts I've come to the conclusion that none of you know what drugs you are taking. If you are shooting pills then you can tell exactly what you are doing and in what dose. But those of you who are doing what you think is heron, I believe you are shooting "H" cut with pills. In the 60's the only dope that smelt like vineger was morphine base. Sometimes known as chinees rocks. This is the substance that heron is made from. It was very strong and lasted over 24 hours. You could smell the viniger when you crushed the rocks before cooking, but there was no taste in the mouth or smell when you shot it.
This stuff hasn't been around, to my knowledge, in 30 years.
Heron has a spisific taste on the tounge. this is how you you could tell if it was the real deal. In those days it was cut with either milk suger or quinine, these were used to weaken the product not to change it real heron does not smell.

Heroin is often made by acelating (sp?) morphine. The vinegar smell is the acetic acid.

The question is if you had never shot H or anything else, and you shot a sub (unflavored one) would you get that taste in your mouth? Guess we'd have to get someone whose never done opiates to shoot a sub. That would hardly be harm reduction though...

I have heard of this on bluelight but I dunno why..I have never felt this sensation before shooting H or sub.

Ive gotten the taste from H before only rarely though a few times when I first started shooting, it was pobly the cut or something cause I never got it after that.

When I shoot subs I get a taste every time but it tastes just like the pill tastes/smells (orange or lemon lime).

I notice the taste of dope and many of the users I was with describe it as a semi metallic vinegar type taste, to me I guess it just taste like the powdered heroin would if you were to snort it. No idea how this can happen from a IV injection though, as in how can you taste something you arent putting in your mouth.

wow.. you can shoot subs?? ive never jeard that before.. and it still blocks the opiates?? im confused by this one because i thought subs blocked ur opiate receptors

everytime you I.V a substance you get a smell and a taste, ESPECIALLY with coke, but also with heroin and oxy.

its not association. tasting what youve shot is pretty common. when shooting crack with vinegar i would taste the vinegar. shooting subs you can taste the orange flavoring.....coke yep that too.

its a strange phenomenon but its NOT association. i shot a girl for her first time with subs and she tasted it.

When I used to shoot dope, right before the rush, there was a characteristic smell or taste that you can feel as you are exhaling through the nose. I sometimes get the same "taste/smell" when my methadone starts to kick in (even when I orally dose my methadone).

I love that damn taste.

there is a lot of drugs that cause a i think metallic type taste when injected IV or IM the one drug that does it the most to me is toradol a NSAID
