Dope sick. will amphetamines do the trick?

I know I'm going to get sick. I've been using heroin for the last month straight and I'm out of money.
I have 10 adderall 30 pills.
I was wondering if they can help with the sickness at all. Because I know you get really lethargic and tired and sick. I've been here before.
Has anyone ever withdrawed from opiates by using uppers?
Will it make me feel better?

Any advice helps.

Amphetamines are the last thing I would want for during opiate withrawals. Benzos along with some loperamide for the runs help make it tolerable. Stay away from the speed. Sleep as much as you can. Save the amphetamines for after withdrawals when you're looking for some motivation.

my general experience with opiate sickness and "uppers" are detrimental. I don't use amps a lot, but white is readily availible in my area. I think that whenever I used white without the H I would actually get "sicker" while high on uppers.
 
I have used them, with some success during WDs (see my journal for a recent technique I used). Basically, I use them to act somewhat normal and control cravings, coupled with benzos and OTC remedies (immodium, etc). I wouldn't binge, by any means, but enough to stay awake all day and hope to squeeze a few hours of sleep in the evening.

One of the neurotransmitters responsible for withdrawal is norpinepherine - which is the main one at play in withdrawal.

I believe what EG is saying is amphetamine indirectly causes the release of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin from nerve terminals. Translation: your WD will be worse. Good luck and keep us up to date.
 
Yep, clonidine is given to help with w/d because it reduces sympathetic nervous system activity (noradrenaline and dopamine). Taking a drug that increases sympathetic activity (like amphetamine) is several steps in the wrong direction
 
Amphetamines would increase the side effects of Opiate withdrawal. I am reasonably sick right now from using OxyContin and Heroin the past two weeks, and just thinking about taking Adderall makes me cringe.
 
With a weaker amp like Adderall it probably wont help but if you use a stronger stimulant such as coke, crack, or methamp it is easier to ride thru the first 3 days relatively pain-free. That only really applies to big benders where you have no time to think about opiates, because your to strung-up on amps.

Ive used crystal to cut thru the w/d symtems it helped pretty good although day 5 I crashed and used heroin again.

as fas as the h w/d's i am clueless, but i do know that iv'e spent weekends on about 300 mg of adderall, and the body pain was horrid, i mean it SUCKED for like a week straight, so my only thing is, dont give yourself another week of hell, or make 1 of your weeks even worse by binging on the addys, like ^^^ said, space em out, i would recommend 1/2 to 1 of the 30's in the morning as soon as you wake up in the mornin and that will get you 8-12 hours of "working time" to get through your day, if you are wanting to make sure you can sleep, start at 1/2 and see where that gets you, cause the adderall has been known to keep me up with 1 pill for like 10 hours sometimes, without even tryin.
 
For the first days of withdrawal I like to do some drug other than H. Anything from ecstasy to cid or shrooms. Just helps keep your mind of the withdrawal. And a fun time.
 
well, il say this, i have a buddy that lays tile for a living, and he has a bad dope habit, and he usually has to wake up every morning without a FIX, so he has gotten accustomed to taking a few EPHEDRINE tablets and he said this help him get thru the day so he can have enuff "spirit" to get some dope at night..so, i would think taking an amphetmaine would lkely help in the short term, but in the long term, it would be harmful, once the positive efects wear off...

everyones ody isdifferent, and throughout my dayz, i have heard some very "off the wall" dopesick remedies, so hard to say what will work for ya..
 
I wouldn't even THINK of touching Adderall or any type of amp when in opiate W/D.

I get VERY bad anxiety when withdrawaling... And my doc took me off clonazepam too so that doesn't help... :(
 
i dont know about you guys, but when i am dopesick i get serious diareah. and taking amphetimines tends to speed digestion up quite a bit. ive tried using crystal to get over h sickness. it does take your mind off it, but the stomach thing kind of ruined it for me.
 
Well I suppose trips may be bad for you. I never really understood the whole bad trip thing, I can't really see how you get one. I've also never experienced one though so it's probably just ignorance.

But point being, some mind altering drug. Maybe some marijuana if that suits you.
 
^^^there's no way would i take acid during opiate withdrawals (i find acid to be VERY stimulating); not only would it worsen the insomnia but i'd be worried about slipping into a (brief) psychosis. Same with shrooms, although they're much less stimulating than acid and (ime) much easier on the body, i just wouldn't risk tripping when im feeling like shit, super anxious, sick, etc.

And i wouldn't touch amphetamine/s with a ten foot pole; not only would they worsen insomnia markedly, but i couldn't imagine dealing with the comedown & depression (im sensitive to the negative effects of amphetamines though), in addition to the opiate-withdrawal-depression, which is just crushing.

No, what i need during w.d's are depressants and drugs with sedative effects; benzo's, benzo's, and more benzo's. Some alcohol thrown in, and at night more benzo's and a sedating antidepressant (mirtazapine) or a sedating antihistamine (but not in high doses like w/ the benzo's).
and of course loperamide as needed, but that's not a depressant or even has sedative properties.

In conclusion, i have not used amphetamines during opiate w.d's and i highly doubt i ever will. I just couldn't imagine dealing with extra agitation, insomnia, and then depression....sounds like a bad mix imo.
 
For me MJ does a good number on the scaced out feverishness feeling i get whilst w/d'ing. And yup some benzos and alcohol will make it a smoother ride, the shitty thing is you might not remember the experience to learn from it, heh.
 
no, i coulnt even think of taking ACID during withdrawal...UUGGHH, that would have to be miserable, it would be for me...plus, if it starts to gt bad when you are peaking, u have 10 more hours of pure HELL...no thanx..

i think the KEY to taking amphetmine while WDs, is once you get that little bolt of energy from the amps, EXERCISE...even if its taking a brisk walk, do it as that would help the nasty comedown from the amps...
