Heroin Dope after eating?

I just eat a bagel and two big bowls of Life cereal. My girlfriend used to tell me not to eat beforehand of you'll barely feel your shot. Is that so? any experience with this ??

I wanted to save it for tommorow but only fell asleep for 2 hours so now i'll be up for the rest of the night.
I got a couple of bags I usually do 1 which is week but this time I'm gonna do 2. I hope I feel it. Let me know right away!
 
Well for future reference having a full stomach seems to not matter when IV'ing. Because it enters the blood stream directly, it does not have to pass through the stomach. Contents in the stomach can only effect oral ingestion.

Also, if you always miss your shots now, you are looking to have some real complications.

Why would injecting dope be affected by whether or not you just ate? I'm not sure where that rumour got started, maybe from opiate-naive people avoiding eating too much in order to reduce their chances of throwing up? Or perhaps some theory to do with the natural opiates produced by eating something tasty? Anyway, eating beforehand makes no noticeable difference to the high when injecting opiates IME.

I always eat before dosing any opiate & my high is just as nice..........snorting morphine after eating doesnt take away from the high ime..............
 
Sigh... you say complications? This is starting to get scary. From now on I'm going to make sure I don't miss. I just wish that once the dope got filled with dark red blood I could effectively find out if i hit the vein on my second attempt. There are no visible complications. I've never had an abcess. I hope that's all I have to worry about. Please do not reply telling me other complications that I can't VISIBLY see. It would ruin my day if I read them. I'm a hypochondriac who googles every symptom of anything I have and cannot get it off my mind.

Pertaining to the subject of the thread. Everything everybody is saying makes sense.. haha. and I know.. if you're mainlining its going directly into the blood stream. I always felt like it affected the high a little.

But seriously.. eating AFTER a shot ruins my high right away. I mean completely takes it away. That's why I asked.
 
I am sorry but why the fuck do you keep shooting if you 'miss every time.' Don't you think that's a sign that you keep trying and failing miserably? Not to mention the obvious health concern and huge waste of dope.
 
Yeah Its definately true, I don't know what the problem is. At the same time I could never eat before I did dope. You got to wait till your coming down but not sick. With the suboxone I eat before I take it, that works out best for me.
 
Anyone fell if you eat during a opiate high (other then fent and smack) it kills your high?
 
I'm merely speculatiing based off experience, but I really doubt eating most "common" foods will decrease the effect of morphine in your bloodstream. I'm betting it has more to do with that the more food is churning in your gut, the more metabolic processes are going on, etc.
 
I believe that eating a meal that is high in fat can aid in the absorption of morphine when taken orally. That is the only drug that I have heard is effected by stomach contents, other than if those stomach contents are potentiators of course.
 
I always eat a fatty meal before doing opana. it's like a ritual, but I have heard it also increases the duration of the high
 
I'm guessing this is one of the ways people actually end up ODing. Build up in the fat, then becomming such a junky they stop eating and doing more, and lose the fat quickly, and bam.
 
Honestly I don't think eating does anything positive or negative for my high. I generally will shoot dope and eat like crazy all day lol...when I am using that is.
