You didn't factor in that.. medicine has evolved a great deal over the past year.. resulting in aging longer?

high dose amphetamine use can easily mean
Those are obvious reasons enough why it could easily cause negative effect on peoples lifespan let alone more complicated reasons specific to amphetamine & s/e profile. Dopamine is involved but hardly in a way you could draw any sort of exclusive conclusion from the link between amphetamine and lifespan.

Ya high doses of amphetamines are bad, but lets not confuse eachother here, are we talking about high doses or are we talking about a high rate of use on the populational level?

pretty sure high dose/addictive-type patterns on an individual.
Right?

As far as I can remember, any aging is due to the production of oxidized dopamine (yes I know that's a piss poor way of describing it!) where the two catechol hydroxyl groups are converted to keto groups (stability is analogous to the way hydroquinone works). An excess of extracellular dopamine means more 'oxidized dopamine' and from that the assumption that it would increase cellular damage
BTW, I know the whole statement above is a bit iffy, but I'm still in the grips of some nasty viral lurge and haven't been able to think straight for a fair few days. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible (hopefully

^as much as i respect you, the 'any aging' part is a bit too vague...
i didn't really concur with most of the post, aging has many other factors involved and the complex senecense process can't be demeed to be caused by "oxidation of dopamine".
These are some of the compounds he mentioned:
"Aminoguanidine, Pyrodoxamine, Alagebrium, etc etc"
