DOOF DOOF SHOES

I recommend skate shoes such as DC's, Globes, Osiris. The bulkier skateshoes give both comfort and support and they look good with phatties. :)
I agree dat you need talc if you buy them the night before the party, but wear them in and you wont have any troubles at all.

Ive got two pairs of identical FILA shoes and theyve done a heap of raves and clubs between them and theyre still going strong.So i guess you couldnt go wrong getting some FILAs.I also got a pair of Skechers and Royals and theyre both bloody comfortable.Theres plenty of good shoes out there you just gott look
 
My acupunctures have put in 2 years of solid thumping... and i mean REALLY solid! but they look like crap now and i need to keep sticking the fronts back on.
on the other hand my airwalks have put in 2.5 years of solid bouncing and walking and running and jumping etc etc etc, but the backs are fucked.
id go with any mildly skate-type shoe cos they are comfy as fuck and hold your feet good. and the bounce! the Bounce! what can i say!

at last! someone going thru the same thing as me, albeit nine months later....
i'm currently in the Diesel double velcroes. they fucking rock. good to look at, good to dance in, go with all my clothes etc...
the thing is, i too want a pair of doof doof shoes, but there are none out there. Royals have completely gone to shit (new models), Acupunctures have gone under, and the generation my current Diesel's come from were imho the last of the Mohicans.
shoes these days are looking increasingly more like bowling shoes, or are getting way to Retro. there are plenty of cool shoes out there, but my problem is after having non-lace ups, its near on impossible to go back.
as a last resort i've decided to buy another pair of my current shoes. after looking for 2 months i had given up until i randomly walked into Myer today and saw the last pair, possibly in Melbourne (i know Syd reputedly have em). now i have another problem. my current ones were this nice neutral camel/beige colour, the ones i have put away are FUCKOFF RED!
my new dilemma: do i bite the bullet and go the bright shoes, or try to beat the bomb and get more out of my current ones in the hope of finding someting better?
i dont hink its so bad considering my current ones have nothing wrong with them apart from starting to wear out and with the onset of winter...
i also have the buckle acupuntures with the funny plastic to cap. so i can rotate if need be.
hehehe...life is good when such trivial things are my only concern :)
PS: if anyone has a pair of the old Metalheadz Royals in blue and yellow they want to sell me i'd appreciate it ;)
 
Dunno if i should be sayin this cos my shoes are one of the things that are uniquily my style but here goes. I have a pair of Shasha 'skate flames'. They have the cut and comfort of skate shoes except they are black leather with yellow and orange flames! mmm black with flames (I'm called rodder for a reason) I wear em non-stop, have for ages with no problems. also *looks around all dodgy like, says in low conspiricy whisper* they got a secret compartment in each sole that can hold like thirty pills w/out crushing them.
Not cheap shoes though
 
does anybody know anywhere where i can get some orange shoelaces - on no those hideous fat ones...?
i recently purchased a new pair of vans (coz they were dirt cheap), but they came with white laces, and are really screaming for orange ones...and i can't wear them until i find some - i've searched long and hard to no avail...
 
Timmy_C, you're like the male version of the chicks in Sex and the City when it comes to shoe shopping!!! I'm a girl, and even i don't know as much about shoes as you do! Let alone are as obsessed as you are when it comes to getting the "perfect" pair of shoes!!

I had chunky DCs before my current incarnation, and I just found them to be WAY TOO chunky. I had to be wearing massive pants for them to look any good.
So I went the other direction and got some slim Etnies... they're wicked, I absolutely love them. Muchos style, although they wouldn't last 2 second at a bush doof... but I have nice sneaker/hiking boots for that :)
 
im looking around for a new pair of shoes to dance in too (checked out a pair of puma mostro but the sole looks kinda "thin" :D i hope the accupunctures i glued up last the coming month :\
 
hehehe. this thread again! just to update i opted out of the red thingys in favour of a new pair of an old model of Royals. Wasabi. $60...couldnt pass that up. then the other month when i went back to the same shop they had the velcro DKNY's of about two years/1 year ago for $50...i couldnt resist. i'm a shoe whore!!!
