Hi I'm new. Docs been tritating me down. Currentoc soon will quit all controlled RX for adults.

Let me be clear that I m not addicted to benzos, they do help me immensely. Dr wants to put me on antidepressants but i am not even depressed. Next month i am starting with a new doc, and I wish how to say what I want, without implying the wrong message. I know what works for me,. Also know that lots of docs rather not rx controlled sustances, like xanax because it may be habit forming.....um, yeah, well i have been a cigarette smoker for 30+ years, so I really do not care whether or not something is habit forming. Also, i tend to drink more if I dont take xanax, but really not sure if should tell the new doctor that cuz it seems like they get the wrong idea and i just need some advice on how to talk to doc about getting what i want and need without them getting it twisted!!!! Can anyone help? Thanks for reading,,,, i would love some suggestions
The other doc wanted put me on buspar which I told him does absolutely nothing. He wants me to

Welcome to Bluelight. But what you ask is not allowed. Questions about how to get drugs from a doctor are verboten.

Sorry I have to close this. Please familiarize yourself with the forum rules. My experience with psych doctors is you have to be willing to accept the prescriptions they give you. Once you have gone through xx amount of meds, they may decide to give you benzos. Wish you the best.
