have you ever just sat on the edge of your chair, hanging on every word that was there. laughter and such, a calm collective, but for some unknown reason your hearings' selective?
have you let your heart reach that point, where you can no longer slow it down? youve become so anxious that suddenly its the anxiety that worries you, no longer the crowd?
have you turned down that last beer that was offered and left because you had other things to tend to, when really you just had an inability to speak?
what could be worse than forgetting to tie the knot on the noose?
or maybe you didnt forget, but you tied it too loose.
in your head you'll dangle, kicking your feet in a scurry
to scower life's failures in such a hurry
but when you reach the end of the rope and close your eyes
expecting to catch and justify all the screams and cries
you're caught by surprise
to your demise
there will be no stench tonight and there will be no filthy flies
there will only be the cries of your own tears
this is one of the many on my list of fears
but i forget about it with every beer
and every time i cut myself i feel more clear
than i have ever felt before that time
why the fuck should that be considered such a crime?
fuck nay sayers
the ill doers
the half asses
and bronze statues
fuck fear
impatience
and time as a virtue
fuck curfews
and perfumes
and makeup
why the fuck wont everyone just wake up!?
the entire world is at our fingertips
but we're too busy tryin to fuck our own species
and consume our own resourses at rates that are unheard of
to notice our own asses are being thrown on the skillet
we've dug our own holes and consumed our own dirt
now we cant even remember how much we hurt
our faith has been lost
restoration is sacrifice
but we cant give up a thing to save our own lives

tuck away and hide
