so i thought id try smokeing some ketamine off of tin foil a few nights ago. the effects seemd a little more strong then if id just sniffed the same amount and it kicked in alot faster " peaked in about 3 mins" but my lungs have been hurting since.

Don't smoke it again, I believe that it doesn't vaporize well and that it has shown to produce toxic degradation products (or am I thinking of another drug for which this was proven?)

In any case it's not meant to be smoked meaning there is no advantage and significant disadvantage. Some people like a certain route of administration too much, be careful. Experimenting can be interesting but when it comes to exploring new unheard of ways of ingesting a drug I think it can quite often be dangerous.

was there anything else? :)

I'm pretty sure the fumes coming from the tinfoil would be toxic but I suppose people do the same thing with H, no?

i doubt one use could cause damage, unless you smoked a fuckload or already had a condition.

probably just a placebo effect or some mild irritation.

Thanks for the warning! Not that I was planning on smoking K anyhow, but you never know.

Lighters don't get hot enough to vaporize aluminum.
They dont vaporize aluminum. The heat creates a chemical reaction (Aluminum+oxygen+heat-->Al2O3). It then flakes off and goes into your lungs which can cause negative long term effects.

About the oxidation, sure. There isn't really much heat necessary, or any at all. But what makes you think the oxide can flake off? It is created as a film layer, not dust particles. I believe it's just as likely that everyone is copying the claims of others based on actual scientific evidence as it is likely that everyone is copying bullshit without verification.

It's being discussed right now in the PD Social Thread.
