Don't shout at me BL, but I need advice.....

^ Really? How severe are the brain zaps? I've had them many a time and always found exercise to help. Not just brain zaps but body zaps as well. Mentioned this now a few times but Omega 3 fish oils are an absolute must to help. So much so that I don't appear to get them anymore thankfully. Latest silliness for example was last weekend after a night of 5-mapb, 6-apb and MDMA. 4 capsules in the morning and 4 in the evening with food works wonders for me. Not had any this week so far.

Cheers for the advice guys! I'm not getting brain zaps when I sleep anymore, the only symptom im left with is a feeling of like blocked ears, and if I move my eyes left or right, I get an almost mild brain zap/dizzy feeling in my head, that is all. Its been a week today since the MDMA and 6 days since the APB, and Im starting to worry I will never recover :(. Could be an ear infection perhaps.....

Forgot to add, I'm also experiencing mild tinnitus with the feeling of blocked ears....

you emptied your box? Glad you're improving mate, it will get better each day! Patience! It only takes a sec to fuck up yer brain, takes months to recover!

My experience was caused by 5-mapb & I suspect might have been more severe than those suffered by even the heaviest MDMA users. I was effectively frozen in space, unable to move physically AT ALL without setting off a continuous series of these, as you describe, entire body/brain zaps. I am not a woos, I have been through some serious things in my time but this was quite simply unbearable. Along with all my Zap symptoms & I was also by turns depressed & tearful, suicidal, infuriated, hysterical then back to tearful again. Yeah, I was a real party! My girlfriend deserves a fucking medal! 3 days I was like this & emotionally, I cannot yet say, 6 months later, that I am 100% recovered & yes, I still get the ocassional zap.

The survivors high I got after recovering from this I can tell you rivalled any MDMA high I've EVER enjoyed & it lasted a fucking WEEK. I was in heaven to be alive!

First day out though, after 3 days trapped in bed, just getting out the block & over to the corner shop, I had to take every step with care, I had trouble looking for traffic coz turning my head quickly set off the zaps.

I am now prone to brain zaps & my time with drugs such as MDMA might be at an end. Fingers crossed, with infinite patience & caution, one day I might try again...

yes, you have ;) & yes, my tinnitus has also been worse since, & with, the zaps. The whole serotonergic system is what our brains use to process stimuli from whichever sense be it sight, sound, touch/feel, smell, taste... so, fuck with the serotoneric system muddles everything else up!

I couldn't even research fucking brain zaps on the nets until they went away! THAT's how bad they were!

What if I'm fucked like this for 6 months?? I don't think I could take it to be honest.....

Oh wow that is a terrible experience, sorry to hear that mate. Probably the most extreme experience of brain/body zaps I've read or heard. Glad it's worked out for you in the end and I can understand why you are considering using MDMA after that.

Hey, you live & learn! I feel I am likely to suffer zaps regardless of what drug I use, from now on. So, if I DO go back to any drugs similar to MDMA, it may was well be MDMA.

Roller, you wont be like this even in 6 weeks, trust me mate!

I can't believe I'm such a bitch about this. If your stupid enough to take large quantities of serotonin releasing drugs 2 days in a row, then you have to be man enough to accept what happens. Considering its only been a week today since the MDMA and just under 6 days since the APB, I'm probably in a good place considering the small amount of time passed.

That's more like it! Don't worry, I've been there & I really did have it the fucking WORST! I have not yet read of a worse Zap problem that wasn't associated with a 20 years Prozac habit! Even then, not many experiences rival the intensity of mine. Lucky me! Haha

It was 10 days of bit grumpy after stopping the 5-mapb before the Zaps/vertigo/nausea/moodswings nightmare hit me, trapped me in bed for 48 hours straight. No sleep either by the way, powerful insomnia & I couldnt make spliffs coz I couldn't fucking sit up! Lol

The longer delay that I suffered suggested to me greater serotonergic damage. I'd expect you to be recovering continuously from this point on...

I like your honesty. No pissing about. <3

This time next week you'll be over the worst of it.

I've narrowed it down to the fact that the jolt feeling I feel when I move my eyes are small brain zaps. What I want to know is, if I'm not getting brain zaps when I'm asleep anymore, then why am I only getting them when I move my eyes, as I thought 'No brainzaps when falling asleep' = problem over....Should brainzaps in any form really last for a week/6 days??!?

Also, I have read the the brainzaps from 6-APB last up to a week longer (not sure how true this is), so perhaps this is just a case of two 'brain zap comedowns' stacking...I dont know. Problem is, I thought brainzaps were meant to hang about at most for a week after the experience......(apart from my mate who did 20g of Meph in a weekend - no thats not a typo. He was fucked for 2 weeks)

... it's all subjective. We're all different, using different drugs on different brains. I've heard of people who suffer zaps from SSRI discontinuation, who still suffer brain zaps 6 years after stopping the drug! 6 YEARS!

If I'm still getting this 6 years down the line, I'm just gonna go all out and drop 7g's of MDMA...at once...injected into my eyes....whilst chewing on a sheet of AL-LAD

On a semi related note, I have just noted the zaps are simply isolated to the movement of my eyes left or right, but not my head. I can rotate my head any way I wish and not experience a zap...

Sounds quite pleasant! ;)

I couldn't move a single muscle without ZANG! Nightmare!

You'll probably be fine in 6 days man, in 6 months you'll have forgotten all about it! I hope...

I'm thinking a further week from today, and I should be alot better :) If not then, then logic dictates that a month max. I think the issue here was a 6-APB (I'm REALLY regretting doing that) as no-one has any knowledge regarding brain-zaps and APB :( If I had just left it at MDMA, then at least we all know what the mechanism of action is!

Also, to 5HTP or to not 5HTP? As I haven't taken it in a day or 2 I just swallowed 1oomg of 5HTP together with some l-lysine to help the old dopamine (don't know what good this will do), but should I take 5HTP daily along with my Omega 3 and noopept? (Noopept is a nootropic like piracitam)

You mentioned Boots omega 3 Si Ingwe (I shall purchase these tomorrow). How many do you recomend I take? Thinking of taking them with a B complex vitamin and my magnesium

^ READ THIS FOLKS........this is true.

People can get brian zaps coming of SSRIs precribed by your doctor..........and we're all worrying about what MDMA can do to us!

Coming off SSRI's were a breeze for me. I never experienced one brain zap, i did how ever get real dizzy at random moments. That was the worst of it.. the dizziness. My MDMA recoveries were a thousand times worse to deal with, because they came with so many other problems. MDMA is way harder on your brain than SSRI's, anti depressants are actually quite gentle on the serotonin system which is why many people don't even notice they are working. While MDMA forces serotonin out of the neurons in a pretty harsh way, which is why symptoms can arise so fast. Anyways enough of that.

As for silent roller, i am glad you are getting better. Instead of 5htp i would recommend taking L-tryptophan, it is more natural and works great. I find that taking 5htp during MDMA recovery makes one feel odd at times and something about it doesn't feel all that great. Definitely get a strong vitamin B complex, i remember it helping me loads.

I suspect that the degree of problems from SSRI's compared to MDMA is highly variable. Glad you survived the withdrawal, just check out the list of symptoms many SSRI user sufffer upon cessation. It was only after realising that I was suffering from the FULL list of symptoms that I began to accept that 5-mapb was the culprit - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSRI_discontinuation_syndrome

Symptoms described as "brain zaps," "brain shocks," "brain shivers," "brain pulse-waves," "head shocks," "pulses," "flickers," or "cranial zings" are withdrawal symptoms experienced during discontinuation (or reduction of dose) of antidepressant drugs.[3][4] These result from a global downregulation of serotonin receptors in response to increased levels of serotonin in the synaptic cleft, but the specific mechanism through which this creates symptoms is not understood.[citation needed] Common responses to dose reduction or cessation include dizziness, electric shock-like sensations, sweating, nausea, insomnia, tremor, confusion, nightmares, and vertigo.[3][4] The MedDRA "preferred term" for coding these types of symptoms in adverse drug reaction reports (for use in pharmacovigilance databases such as under the Yellow Card Scheme) is paraesthesia.[5][6]

In a 1997 survey in north-east England, a "sizable minority" of medical professionals were not confidently aware of the existence of antidepressant withdrawal symptoms.[7] A 2005 review of adverse event reporting showed that descriptions of "electric shocks" from patients on paroxetine had been reported more frequently than some other symptoms

Roller, I'd advise you neck 4 of the Boots Vegtarian Omega 3 as soon as possible, & another 4 12 hours later. This is the most I've done in one day & I wouldn't recomend going over that amount.

Sorry for the delay, busy day yesterday & an early night for me :)
