broken symmetry,
two firecrackers trailing away,
night sky bathed in light,
everything looked bright as day.
as the floods crept higher,
they scarcely made a sound,
kept our eyes glazed up high,
away from black and watery ground.

[chorus]
don't go where I can't follow,
or I'll go where no one can find me.
don't want to be alone,
but if I have to I'll go away.
and never come back.

we stood there in silence,
I fell to my knees,
I could not please but I tried so hard.
we were so close but so far apart as well,
even without words, she knew, I could tell.

[chorus]
don't go where I can't follow,
but I fear I just can't stop you,
don't go...
don't go where I can't follow,
or I'll go where no one can find me.
don't want to be alone,
but if I have to I'll go away.
and never return.

The title comes from a book by one of my favorite cartoonists, Anders Nilsen.

Some kind of driving rock song with a mix of alternating acoustic and distortion guitar.

The music isn't quite done yet. Still ironing it out a bit. :)

Thanks for the kind words!
