"Miami Vice" actor Don Johnson thinks all drugs should be legal, without exception.

The 65-year-old told HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri that he feels America should "legalize every drug and tax it." When Camilleri inquired as to whether this stance extended to heroin, Johnson didn't hesitate before saying "absolutely."

"If you legalize and decriminalize drugs, you take the glamor out of it and you take the gangs out of it, you take the drug dealers out of it and you make it a less glamorous thing," he explained.

"The perfect example would be prohibition," he added. "Yeah, there's going to be those who are alcoholics, but you know, they'll get help. That's evidence of a deeper wound -- a deeper pain that people need help with."

Legalizing drugs will cause massive job losses(tongue in cheek)

;)

ProhibitionNOT! will cause massive job losses. We will need less police, smaller courthouses, and not as many, fewer lawyers and judges, fewer addiction counselors(once people become 'properly' educated about drugs), fewer manufacturers of chemical testing equipment etc.
Now we can't have that can we?

Massive job losses, for people that add next to nothing of tangible benefit to society. It's as if they will have to find something productive for them to do... What in this day and age I don't know.

A regulated market would create jobs!
It's funny that this is what seems to drive a lot of our draconian drug laws, considering how little pragmatic attention is paid to the amount of traditional forms of employment that various forms of technology are making redundant.

Regulate and tax the drug market, then put the money back into social welfare initiatives and health.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Sorry, but I am so copying that quote. But don't worry, it'll be credited to you, dear sir, and thank you.

But if that happens who's going to be around to do no knock warrants and shoot ppl and their dogs by mistake? And throw ppl in privitized prisons for small amounts of pot lol.
