DOM vs DOC

so much of this should be in the liquid measurement thread :)

but i guess i'll post it here for the time being since everyone else has.

any brand of vodka will work just fine, but i find that the best balance between value and taste is burnett's brand.

i don't really see a point in diluting 35% or 40% alcohol any further with distilled water... i would just leave that step out to keep things simpler (less steps equals less chances to fuck it up =]).

a cheap ebay scale will only allow you to measure out an amount that is somewhere between 40mg and 60mg, though it would probably be somewhere in the 45mg to 55mg range.

oh, and about oral syringes: walgreens expects you to pay like $3 just for one crappy 10ml syringe... so what i always do when i need them is go to the pharmacy counter and ask (verbatim, each time): "hey... do you have any of the little oral syringes for dosing children's medicine?" they've always just given me one (they have a basket of them sitting right at each window). i could see the worker telling you no if you look like you're a raver kid or something though.

I am amazed how similar DOM is to mescaline, at low to medium doses. probably the closest phen to mescaline IMO. But at higher doses, the unbelievable energy push of DOM is in stark contrast to the calm of mescaline for me. I get energy from mescaline , and it is certainly a stimulating calm, but DOM has such an insane drive for me. Also, the "unreality" of higher dose DOM feels a lot more "insane" than mescaline for me.

How about TMA-2? Have you tried it? I would like to know how similar it is to mescaline (and DOM for that matter).
 
2C-P is one I never tried...the only "common" Sasha 2C I didn't indulge in I guess. So I can't compare. Someday. There is a lot more info now then there was 10 years ago and it sounds a lot more interesting than it used to...

Yes I have tried TMA-2. It is fun but has not nearly the "depth" of mescaline or DOM. It has some good recreational potential IMO but the jittery speedy edge was annoying (whereas the stimulating effect of DOM is in your face enough that you have to go along for the ride!) and I found it a bit lacking visually as well. I am surprised it isn't out there more, I guess it being a structural isomer of a controlled substance must scare people away.

I would concur with Sasha and not include TMA-2 in my "magical half dozen", for the reasons just stated.

I've had quite a bit of both and I prefer DOC hands-down. The only thing is that DOM at high doses is more "sharply" psychedelic. But this can be both an advantage and disadvantage. The main thing though is that I find DOM very neutral and analytical, while DOC contains a mescaline-like warmth that morphs into a loving plateau of zen-like euphoria that lasts for about a day, for me anyway. The plateau of DOC, after the peak, is my favorite drug-induced state. It's like everything is perfect and effortless.
 
Finally got the chance to try DOC, I didn't really plan the day out, and that's probably what made the trip so well. It would have been better, had I had a full night sleep instead of having been up about 20 hours already. This made for a slightly uncomfortable confused state during the first few hours. once things leveled out It was a great trip. This would be a great substance for a camping trip I feel. long lasting and great colors. I have yet to try DOM, but so far the DOx are 2/3, DOI being the only one I don't really like.
 
im actually really interested in doet now,
because i have fallen in love with 2c-e.
custom synth seems to be the only route,
so i must wait,
anyone have experience?
i know this is probably unlikely,
compare dom to doet?
or even 2c-e to doet
or 2c-d to dom.
 
DOC is the most interesting, and strange chemical I have ever tested. Kinda similar to 2C-P but far more refined, with an element of euphoria very similar to MDMA. Visuals were exceptionally detailed, complex and profound, but substance didn't seem to to a great deal mentally. I'll be posting a trip report on the big and dandy DOC thread in the next day or so. Very long lasting - tripping for > 24 hours. Some hints of possible vasoconstriction were seen, but were possibly imagined. In fact, I was very clear headed during the experience, although very occasionally lost where I was when performing tasks. Had some alcohol later which appeared to make parts of the trip harder to remember.

I'd love to try it again, possibly starting early in the day. Highly recommended if you can get hold of some, but be warned, its very potent, and lasts a bloody long time.
