Dollwreck

Self-destructive supermodel posture
Your wealth must be reaching top shelf
And yet, your eyes scream out in black
Mascara skin stains on attack
You've fallen
Torn apart your dress
Your beauty: rotten
Such a mess
Why do you sustain this mission?
A penny for your ammunition

Trust in me, that I know why you shoot your bullets to the sky
Your gunshot to the stratosphere
The time has come for what you fear

The mirror, as of late, reflects a lie
No longer does a sparkle ride your eye
Singled out and hung the noose too high
Scared to live, but too afraid to die

Reading this must break your heart
Setting fire to your art
Arsenic inside your glass
Turning all your gold to brass
Ripping out your knotted hair
Last place in the ribbon fair

Just trust my words if I'm not there
When no one else on earth would care
Please follow me, 'cause I know why you shoot your bullets to the sky

I love the title... and these lines really grab me:

Why do you sustain this mission?
A penny for your ammunition

The mirror, as of late, reflects a lie
No longer does a sparkle ride your eye

Nice overall pace and flow to the piece too... two thumbs up!

Thank you very much. I have never written anything about this particular subject before, and it's really not written in my normal style at all. It just came to me out of nowhere, and I felt compelled to try to make it work. Once again, thanks.

Like I said, this one came out of nowhere, it's not my usual style. I'm glad people like it, though. I wrote this one in a rehab in houston somewhere, in the middle of last year. Probably the only thing I wrote that didn't have to do with drugs.
