So I've been an on-off user of ecstasy for the past five years, and I've always been aware of my mild anxiety. I don't attribute it to drug usage as it happens randomly whether I'm on or off them.
Recently (as in the past six months), though, I have begun to take a regular Yoga class at the nearby YMCA, and as they recommended, began to meditate for around 15 to 20 minutes a day.
I take vitamins, eat healthier foods, and always drink water, however, since I began to add Yoga/Meditation to my weekly schedule, I've found that my bouts of anxiety have severely dropped. I've never had panic attacks, but frequently experienced the clammy hands, irritable bowels, and tingling in my spine. I don't like taking prescription meds unless I desperately need them, and instead used breathing techniques that my old Martial Arts Sensei taught me.
What I want to know is if anyone else has had similar experiences with Yoga/Meditation? After a roll, my anxiety sometimes flares up, but these last few months hasn't done so.
