doing D on subs: when can i dose on subs again?

So, here is how this shit went down...

Day 1 (tuesday)
Got sick enough to start taking subs. I bang 1mg at 12noon and feel like shit for 10min (the usual) but then feel better for most of the day. I do another 1mg IV at around 10pm cause its bed time and subs always make me nap about an hour in. This 2nd dose gave me a bad headache. No biggie. Just took some excedrin.

Day 2 (wednesday)
Woke up and drove my girl to work. Got home around 10am and did another 1mg IV dose of subs. Later that day I pick up some fine ass blowcaine and do some of that (not much. About .3 in 9 hours). Well, my girl calls with a migraine so I scoop her ass up from work and head home. My d-boy hits me up seeing if he can get a ride a few blocks down (we live across the street from each other) cause its raining. In the car I tell him about her migraines and how she is miserable and puking. He gives us a 50 with no need to pay him back. Well, being the dope fiend I am I cannot NOT do any free dope. So I do my normal H dose and feel pretty ok from it. Definitely slowed me down. Felt a mild rush too.

Day 3 (thursday)
It has now been 9 hours since I did dope and I wanna start back on the subs. I still feel like there is some of the subs on me as I'm not feeling sick at all (when normally after 6 hours from last H shot I will).

My Question is this:
Can I take subs now if I did heroin on subs yesterday because there is still some of the subs left in me? OR should I wait until I start to feel real sick again before taking the subs?

The cautious side is telling me to wait. I have gone through Pw/d before and it sucked ass. But the "analyze shit too much" side of me is justifying taking subs cause I was on them when I did the dope.

What is your brain sayin? Get at me bluelight! Wo!

If you don't feel withdrawal, don't take Suboxone. :D

And try not to do heroin again if it's been a problem for you... if that's your goal of course. ;)

This guy said it better than I could.

Wait until you're sure that you're feeling withdrawal symptoms before you take the Suboxone, otherwise you risk throwing yourself into precipitated withdrawals.
 
Wait you'll get precipitated w.d even if you dose AFTER you've subbed? Every time I've been on subs and was stupid enough to try H the naloxone would just block the dope and I wouldn't feel anything, no high and no w.d.

But to answer your question OP, you might feel a high 24 hours after your last bupe dose if it was a really small one, but it's ideal to wait 36-48 hours after you've last subbed. With 36 your still cutting it close tho.
 
Although he is taking subs at the level that would not block other opiates.
 
If you take heroin after you dose suboxone, you will not get precipitated withdrawals. PW refers solely to taking suboxone AFTER you dose heroin, or other opiates. Also, the buprenorphine, NOT the naloxone, is responsible for blocking opiates, and precipitated withdrawals.

The binding affinity on your opiate receptors for buprenorphine, is higher than that of naloxone. Naloxone, in suboxone, is virtually useless, since the buprenorphien out competes naloxone at your opiate receptors, rendering it virtually ineffective.

Buprenorphine is responsible for precipitated withdrawals, and NOT the naloxone.

From personal experience dude, wait until u start to get some mild w/d symptoms. Taking a sub too soon, while there is still sh*t in your system, is one ugly thing. I made this mistake, i.v'd my sub too soon and i felt SO HORRIBLE, like i was gonna go out or something. Talk about w/d symptoms. AWFUL. you dont need to be in full w/d b4 u take ur sub - just wait for the watery eyes, streching, yawning, etc - you know the early signs. then start slowy

I usually get those symptoms; watery eyes, yawning, runny noes, after about 12 hours. I'd usually wait at least a few hours after you start to notice these symptoms before dosing. About 16 hours is enough time to wait. But I always recommend 24 hours just to be safe because precipitated withdrawals are hell.
