does your dealer try to get you "hooked"?

Back when i was using heroin i only had one dealer for heroin and a few other hookups for pills, but my first choice was always h if i could get it. Anyway, i was just thinking back on those days and one thing popped into my mind, my dealer was always intentionally doing/saying things that would cause cravings etc.

Here is one example, i was always against the needle, i would snort as much h as i could afford but never used the needle. My dealer knew this and after a while he started giving me needles with a lot of my purchases and saying "your wasting this if you dont shoot it." While i understand that i was wasting some by not using needles i had seen what the needle had done to friends and did not want to go down that road. I told him over and over that i didnt shoot but he wouldnt listen. He sold to fund his massive habit and i have no doubt that he was doing it to get me to end up buying more heroin. He would also text me all the time mentioning that he was holding.

Now this is not a blame thing, but it is kinda fucked up to want another person to start shooting just so you can make a few more bucks. Ive seen the needle ruin countless lives and im sure he understood this.

Has anyone else noticed dealers that would use triggering methods or other means as a way for you to buy more product?

Yeah I know what you mean. Right when I was trying to get off of my "extra" pills(more than my doctor supplied 90 norcos) my dealer calls me after I told him of me getting off his extras, and tells me that he has just got some Roxis for super cheap...blah blah. Of course I called him and of course I am still in contact with him. Love/hate relationship for sure!

I have seen many dealers do this... and as a dealer myself (in the past) I am guiltie of creating cravings to sell more product.

however, I would NEVER encourage someone to try something new, or to use a dangerous method of ingestion (needle). My concience would get me too bad if something happened to them.

I got my friend hooked on coke (because we would party together a lot but I was the one who got him to take his first line)... and I got off coke but he is still hooked.. I feel like shit about that

so yes I have seen it.. but I dont think its right

My old meth dealer always sms's me when he's holding. It shits me because I hardly ever buy it though I do consider myself to ave a bit of a problem with it, mostly coz I IV :/

Bottom line (like for hydro)....is you can't MAKE people do anything. In the end, we are only responsible for ourselves. Sure, while you may not have won the "Citizen of the Year" award....you were only providing something others wanted...and Im sure you didnt put a gun to their heads. My biggest problem is people that sell to minors/kids. Thats fucked up IMO. If they choose that path...that's one thing...but I know I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

Interestingly..I wonder how many dealers actually back off when someone tells them they are going to try to get clean? Thats another thing...if someone is trying to do the "right" thing for themselves and clean up, yet the dealer keeps dangling the candy in front of them, that isn't cool.

Many d's are supporting their own habits, so I'm sure it makes them do things they wouldn''t normally do.

Hmmm. Interesting.

My dealer actually advised me never to IV heroin, though I ended up trying it a few times before ultimately quitting (the last time I used heroin I snorted it though, I preferred snorting it for a longer lasting high and a longer lasting rush) - people can go through more H when IVing it, or they tend to raise their tolerances faster, so that might be why your dealer was doing what he did.

Or, maybe he just personally thought that snorting dope was a waste (because he was chasing the IV rush, which is a lot different than chasing the long lasting high from heroin) and just thought you were wasting your money.

It's still fucked up to give someone needles, that's the worst possible thing ever IMO. I would never give someone needles if they didn't want them!!!

Selling to minors isn't too bad when you're a minor yourself though. ;)

Many of my friends, while we were over 18 (except like 2-3 people max) - many of us started when we were 13 to 17 (one girl started at 9!) so I really "disagree" with selling to minors being wrong.

Pushing drugs to minors (getting them to try new things, encouraging them to do / buy drugs) is wrong, but if the minor already wants it, they'll find someone with or without you.

I have met lots of people who were very determined to acquire psychedelics, stimulants, opiates, tobacco, alcohol, weed, etc. before they were 18, and they wouldn't have stopped no matter what.

For my experience though, my dealer didn't contact me if I told him I was trying to get clean. I would end up caving in and calling him. He was the greatest person ever though, he wouldn't mind fronting me considerable amounts of money since I always paid him back.

most dealers round here have lots of business and understand when someones cleaning up so no worries there. and some of them really like to wave the coke around at the potheads... but no thanks

My regular mdma source sells a lot of different drugs, he got me to try coke for the first time(I would have anyways since I always wanted to try it). After that night he told me first times always free now,now if you want more you gotta pay. It was funny because he texted me the next day that he had even better stuff, I just told him another time. He kept bugging me saying stuff like "are you sure?" and "once in a life time chance man" it was really irratating me at first. But he got a point, after about 2 days.

my dope dealer barely speaks english so we don't really communicate much, but when my boyfriend doesn't buy dope for a few days, our dope dealers wife (who speaks english a little better) will call asking if he's gonna get something...I think they get worried when he doesn't call everyday

i agree, he would also attempt to get me to shoot up by offering to prep the needle for me and all that shit. if i were going to shoot up it wouldnt be from a needle from my kinda sketchy h dealer :\

of course we are responsible for ourselves, thats a given, the whole peer pressure thing is a real thing though. i never would have smoked weed for the first time if it wernt for friends sorta pressuring me to try it. not that it is their fault but there is some complicency on their part imo

Nah, none of my dealers ever gave me freebies or tried to get me hooked on anything

I have seen a few cases of junkies turning other more innocent people onto heroin so when the innocent ones bought the h they could smoke/share it with them though

I have known some real sketchball dealers in the past. One had really good weed and really shitty coke, and was always trying to get me to buy more coke after I tried it once. He once brought both when I clearly told him I just wanted a slice, and then acted all annoyed / disaopointed when I didnt buy the yay. It could have been an honest mistake, but I get the feeling it was not.
He also would text me when he got some new strain of weed- in my experience, any dealer that sends unsolicited texts is eager to sell and will do morally questionable things to make more money.

[His Wife] You need to call them! They haven't called you in two days, who knows what happened to them?

That's caring right there. =D
