Does weed open your mind more than you are supposed to be able to?

ok heres my question, ive been a daily smoker for over a year now and its been great but i am recently on a T-break because I have a high tolerance. I feel like everything was so much better and my thoughts were completly unrestricted when high. By that i mean i could go into the deepest thoughts about one thing and just get myself lost in it. I was always so happy and such. But while sober i realized that i cant get lost in my thoughts i keep going back to reality and i cant think about that one thing for to long or i just find myself complely off topic after a minute. SO my question is to you guys do you feel like you are more in control of your mind set while high vs sober? this is a question for my fellow stoners:)

I know weed opened my mind so much during my first year. You do have to be careful because if your mind is open to more than you are ready for it will only lead to confusion and anxiety.

Also stopping weed tends to produce the opposite effect; your mind is more narrow than before you ever smoked as a rebound effect which can manifest itself as anger and irritability which I believe stems from not having that thc to keep an open mind.

Take it from me and stop while your ahead.

Only smoke once in a while from now on or you might end up REQUIRING weed to be able to have a calm and open mind.

Basically, weed opens the mind in positive ways but it can only take you so far. A lasting open mind must be cultivated from within, not with substances which simply give you a "jump start" if you will
