Opioids Does tramadol help with opiate W/Ds

My buddy got on opiates really bad the past couple of months (not to the point of snorting or IV but kinda bad) and I have some ultrams I thought I'd give him to help him avoid W/Ds

Will tramadol work for him? I know 300mg is the limit and ultram isn't really recreational but does it keep weak-medium opiate w/ds away?

yes with my experience is does, and actually pretty well. if even though i its not a full mu-opiate receptor i think. but it can be recreational from some people. with me i never experienced anything, but i know people who have and it will help with withdrawal.

yes it does infact,

i had it for two weeks after my ankle surgery when i could not get out for dope, had withdrawl from even just the tramacet.

and ive used it to potentiate dope, and for dope WD

actually i got to admit it did help me out once in a pinch. coming from shooting likeee uhh 135mg of oxycodone 12 times a day( i know it was a crazy binge ), i had nothing left and a friend gave me like 8 50mg tramadol, i took 4, then 12 hours later another 4, couldnt sleep the night, but was atleast comfortable enough to watch tv and wait til morning.

Agree they can help some in a pinch, but I would strongly recommend to not get hooked on this. I took it as prescribed for over a year, suppose to be non-narcotic, well it is addicting. My withdrawals were bad to the point I was hospitalized and put on IV dilaudid to deal with the bone and muscle pain. Hence~~ Here I am 7 years later with demons much worse than Tramadol.
