When I first took ecstasy about a year ago I remember I would swallow the pill, and feel nothing for about half an hour, and then all of a sudden it would kick in. Almost like flipping a switch. Nowadays I can feel the slow buildup. I was just wondering how is suppose to go? Could it be I was taking some other kind of adulterated pill my first time which had that kind of all of sudden high? or could it be because of tolerance issues or my body just getting use to it so now it's not the same.

Typically MDMA comes up in waves. The thing is that when you're coming up it can a little difficult to realize if you're high or not. So although the waves of MDMA are slowly hitting you, you're still in a very strange place. But then one of the waves hits you full on and you realize that you're in completely different state of mind.

Typically, people only remember how the the first full-on wave hits them. I mean why would you even care about the strange come-up feelings once you're experiencing bliss.

For me it creeps in like a stalker. I'll think to myself "It's been 30. Pills gonna kick soon." Then suddenly I start noticing my heart is racing, the tips of my fingers are getting tingly and then the gut feeling flows in like a wave.

The first few times, it hits you suddenly and produces an intense rush.
Really one of the most pleasurable experience you'll ever have...

Then, when you start losing the magic (for me it happened very quickly), you don't get that rushing sensation anymore and it seems to take ages to come up and does so very slowly.

You get a weak body buzz and you wait for what seems like a long time for the peak to occur. And most of the time, it doesn't, and when it does it's crappy and very short.

VERY FRUSTRATING!

Have a break, I've had the same rush consistently, had 1 month breaks minimum, last break was 3 month and I'm coming to the end of a 2 month break now, I consistently get that first buzz feeling, if not better than my first buzz.

All depends on your dose, set and setting, what you have eaten that day, how clean the mdma is you have taken, how long ago previously you did it etc

I have always taken at least a 2 months break between each roll.

And I have always rolled on the same batch: 87% pure MDMA powder.

Everyone is different. I know some people can roll for months, even years and enjoy it every time. But others like me lose the magic extremely quickly...

It doesn't mean I can't enjoy it moderately every now and then. Sometimes some of the magic even seems to come back with the right setting, and when my expectations are low. But I have never recaptured that sensation I got the first two times... And the crash and negative side-effects (compulsive vomiting) are each time more pronounced.

This sounds like me, except without the most pleasurable experience part. I never could really get too high like most people here and kind of remember at least that sudden rush was a good feeling. I'm hoping piracetam will help me.

Last time, I felt a SLIGHT tightness in my throat, then sweaty palms, then while moving around, felt a bit sideways. Soon my eyes were wiggling and everything began to have a glow about it. Right after that BAM! a huge rush of euphoria and I kept saying out loud "Yep. Yeah. Oh yeah..." as if to confirm to myself that I was feeling it.
So I guess it was a little of both. I was slightly aware of a gradual come up as well as the intensity hitting hard and all of the sudden.

I've had both. The first couple of times, I felt it come on gradually. The first time, I was walking or sitting around for about 30 minutes waiting for it to happen. At one point I'm walking toward the bathroom and as I'm walking I put my hand on my friend's head and I instantly stopped and started playing in her hair. It was my first buzz so I didn't know what to expect but her hair was so soft that I couldn't stop passing my hands through it. That's when I knew I was rolling. I was totally high, but I never really felt it come on. Never got that crash wave of euphoria.

The last time I took it, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was sitting around at the table talking with friends and suddenly I got light headed and my eyes were wiggling, my energy was drained and I was fucken buzzing!

For me, I usually start getting antsy and then all of the sudden it hits me. I wouldn't really say hard, because it's not overwhelming. I just all of the sudden realize "damn... I feel good". Then again, I usually smoke a joint after about an hour, and after that I'm usually good to go.

This post brings back some great memories of over a decade ago. Those first 5 to 10 times that rush was so insane.....stone sober one minute and then like a lightning bolt the most amazing, euphoric electric rush would zip from the pit of the stomach all the way up the spine and it was off into a crazy world of insane bliss for the next several hours.

7 months into a break and counting.....hoping I can get some of that good ole magic back although I have a feeling that the most extra special parts of it may be a once in a lifetime thing.

For me I usually start to get a mild feeling of anxiety on the comeup. This usually happens within 30-40min. Sometimes I feel a little naueseous and there have been plenty of times that I have yacked. Within an hour or so though it usually hits all at once and I have a nice long peak/plateau between 2-3 hours depending on the quality. After that peak leaves me in a nice way over the next hour with a slight afterglow.

i love when the come up hits hard and then u high for a good 5 mins then u feel like your comming down and u start feeling bad then all of a sudden BAM the real high hits u and u rolling balls

When my fingers start tingling i feel like i have to 'touch' the air.

I remember my first time the come up was frightening, I wanted to lay face down on a beach towel in the sun, my friend told me I should sit up and just let the mdma take control and enjoy it... shit yeah

Personally I've never actually felt the come-up from MDMA or Ecstasy (MDMA as in the pure form, Ecstasy as in taking random pills and not knowing what's in them).

I usually felt it like this: 30 minutes in, I start to get anxious, an hour in I'm high as fuck and it stays that way for a few hours.

It's always the same for me. I drop the pill and then 30 mins or so in I'm waiting with anticipation, just kind of wondering when its going to kick. Before I know it I start moving to music without realizing it and becoming more chatty. From that point I can tell I'm coming up and from within about 10 minutes of that time I'm in full on happyland! :)
