does speed go off?

hi probably a noob question but does speed go off? i know it can 'sweat' but if it sweats so much it has turned to liquid can it still be taken and if so is there a time limit?
 
could someone please answer ;( unless my question is against the rules, if so i appologise.
 
Do you mean go bad? and what kind of speed, amphetamine sulfate powder ( uk) or crank/methamp ( us/aussieland). And by sweat do you mean gain moisture and get softer and malleable? that's called hygroscopic(I think), meaning it sucks the water out of the surrounding air. It could also mean residual solvent left on the product. Please be more specific and patient if you want a solid answer to your question. This is a forum not an emergency answer service ( no hostility, I know it can seem like the end of the world sometimes when you see your stash acting odd).
 
oh umm..i'm not sure all i know is it is pure and in australia....by sweat i mean has been in the packet for a few days and i guess got a bit heated so turned into liquid (and see a bit of clear crystals but i think its sticky) i know its made from psudoephadrine (not sure on spelling) but nothing like sugar or anything is added to it....and yep i meant does it go bad as in i shouldn't take it.....i haven't actually had speed in like 20 years so i could take it or leave it but it was a gift and while the kids are away it would be good to have if it is still usable
 
So your talking methamphetamine.... well the quality sounds off, did some water get in the package or something? Crystal shouldn't turn to liquid in a few days f stored properly, sounds like some kinda odd cut or bunk shit. we can only speculate though( which actually is not encouraged here), can you plz be more specific as to what it looked like when you got it, like all the physical features, and then compare that to now. If your shit is just turning liquid though for no reason, i wouldnt touch it.
 
to be honest i don't know what it first looked like...i do know they got three little bags 2 days b4 new years eve of the same stuff then two of my friends had theirs new years eve but i didn't have mine and they kept it in their room or something then gave it to me and its been in my wallet until i got home yesterday (it was turning gooey and liquidy before they gave it to me.....i know it's not much to go on...i did ring them and they said it waas fine and that it was just 'sweating' but i wanted to find out really lol...they are good friends thoguh and i doubt they would lie to me....i could just chuck it though better safe then sorry i guess ETD i should mention it was stored just in a normal plasticy baggy so it hasn't been opened or anything

Meth shouldn't be gooey. It should be a fairly hard crystal or powder. If it gets all gooey sounds like its amp sulfate, isn't it more of a paste? Also sounds like it has some left over goodies from the synth but it's up to you if you want to use it. I think the last stuff I got was kind of lightly damp but after a few days it dried out and was just shards/powder.
 
hi thanks for getting back to me..it was kind of clear crystally bits with liquid around it...i just rang my friend and they said it was fine and it was...i guess i should have asked them in the first place but wanted to be sure.....all good.
 
Seen it happen plenty of times in Oz (usually a combination of summer & gloveboxes = extreme heat conditions). You should be fine just dump it in a glass of oj & wash the baggie out with oj & drink it.

I remember how gutted a mate was when he realised what had happened to his 1/4 but it all worked out ok.
