Opioids Does scopolamine potentiate kratom?

Does anyone have experience or knowledge on the subject of scopalamine as a potentiator of kratom? I have read that it is known to potentiate traditional opioids.

I have access to 72 hour transdermal scopalamine patches dosed at 1mg/3 days.

I can only find one account of scopalamine and kratom on BL through the search engine, though it was a positive report.

They should synergize OK as long as you don't overdose on the scopolamine. It is after all an antimuscarinic deleriant at higher doses...
 
Thanks Sekio! I have never taken scopalamine but am aware of it's potential to produce deleriant effects at higher doses. I have no intention of taking anything more than the therapeutic dose of scopalamine; I would have to put the transdermal patch on @ 1mg/3 days.

I have taken atropine in the the form of lomotil (diphenoxylate 2.5mg, atropine 0.025mg) at doses of 0.3mg - 0.4mg by ingesting between 12 - 16 lomotil. Otherwise I have no experience with antimuscarinics or anticholinergics except hyoscyamine at therapeutic doses.
 
Ive only ever heard of scopolamine in that documentary where people are blowing the stuff on their victims to be, turning them into free will lacking zombies who will empty their bank accounts when asked by the perpetrator, only to not remember anything the next day.

Whats this stuff prescribed for? Also is a big DPH dose similar to a big scopolamine dose, I noticed both were anticholinergics so is the lack of free will related to that?

I think the documentaries are largely made to seem interesting and just also how someone would describe what they see to someone else. Whats more likely someone will understand "they looked like they had amnesia, hallucinations, and confusion from taking or being drugged with a muscarinic acetylcholine antagonist" or " they looked like a zombie. Completely blank faced. Almost like witchcraft."

And honestly they aint lying after a overdose they kinda look like a zombie.

It's found in big white flowers that grow in Europe just fine, my used-to-be living place mayor's bureaus had tons of them in front, we'd pick'm and smoke them dry, nice high with some hash in the mix.

Anticholinergics can make opioids less euphoric by blocking M5 receptors that are required for dopamine release in the reward circuitry of the brain. Not necessarily bad if it's used for pain relief without intention to get high off it, though.
 
Thanks for the replies. Sorry I haven't posted back. It is prescribed to my wife for nausea associated with very severe endometriosis. I've seen the woman projectile vomit while on ondansetron, metoclopramide, meclizine, and cannabis simultaneously on many more than 1 occasion 🤮

Specialist suggested the scopolamine patch. Generally speaking, it's used prior to surgery to control post surgery nausea, or at least that's one of the uses these days.
 
It was used a lot more in opioid combos in medicinal settings Circa 1900

it does potentiate as is an antimuscarinic so similar to antihistamines. As long as the does is correct there should be no problems.

I use to boil then and I always wanted to smoke them but never got around to it.we have pink brugmansias here.
 
The datura alkaloids and it's analogs like travacalm pills are not a pleasant feeling and I honestly think while it will potentiate the op8 sedation wise it's unpleasantness will drag the op8 euphoria down.not worth trying in my opinion.ive tried that stuff many times so I know from experience.it overpowers all other feelings with unpleasantness.
 
Having a 100% dry mouth from scopolamine while being too high to walk to the kitchen to drink water without risk of fainting is quite unpleasant. I'm not sure if that blood pressure drop occurs to others when comboing opiates with antihistamines or anticholinergics, but it sometimes happens to me.

I've used scopolamine for opium before, but absolutely don't recommend. It's very hard to get the dose right, and I never could get where I wanted with a tincture (Too scared of going delirous unprepared). Even though it sounds like you have pharma grade, I have no clue what the right dose would be. You'd need to titrate up very slowly until you feel it.

Although why not just use DPH? Much easier/safer to dose with and find info on, and incredibly cheap.

Vice is so full of crap sometimes. If you are full-on delirious it's hard to even think a complete thought, let alone get into any accounts. Always has pretty dark hallucinations that are indistinguishable from reality. Who cares about your bank when dog-sized spiders are hunting you and shadow people are wearing your family's skin.
 
The best hallucinations I ever had were on datura but it's the shitty feeling canceling out any enjoyment of seeing some cool shit that kills it.

I just read that activating the M5 receptors decreases dopamine meaning blocking it would make more, and also heard of anticholinergics increasing dopamine. You could be right as I did read something like that, but also just read this.

"However, activation of M5 in the striatum reduced electrically evoked dopamine release".
 
How does a therapeutic dose of scopolamine feel? Is there any distinct feel at all or just a reduction in transpiration? Anticholinergics behave as antidepressants in animal models so I assume there'd be some euphoria.

Never tried it that I know of, but I heard it feels like Diphenhydramine, and wonder if it feels exactly like it?
