I would think no, but my girlfriend insists it does because of what a doctor told her. I always thought food and drugs take a while to make their way down the intestines. Am I wrong?
Do you mean emptying your bowels? It depends where you put the pills. If you put them up your rear end, then when you empty your bowels you will leave your pills in the toilet (hopefully). If you eat them, then you are right, it takes a while:

I've never experienced any lessened effects going to the bathroom right after taking pills. With opiates, I usually have to go first thing in the morning (right before I take the pills) or right after (before the gut-lock sets in.)
