Personally, I go for the 3rd plateau for music appreciation, preferably in combination with cannabis, but it can be pretty nice on the second plateau too. I imagine it has something to do with what aspects of the music people are appreciating, if you're going for aficionado type appreciation, the lower plateaux will be more useful. If you want a musically guided journey between the cracks in time, you're going for the higher plateaux.
Yeah, 'cause your average street drug user knows anything at all about the drugs they put into their bodies. 8)
Psychedelic drugs aren't really street drugs, and there's certain drugs that you're absolutely better off trying for the first time with a friend who's done it before and knows the particular batch you're planning on taking, but I'm sure you'd agree with that...
My girlfriend used to do DXM in highschool....The pharmacies in this city keep it behind the counter because everyone was stealing the "Triple Cs"....
I just find it to be a very unpleasant drug experience...Most people I know who've taken it feel the same way. If I was interested in using a psychedelic drug, I wouldn't start with DXM...Some people love it and that's fine, but it's definitely in its own class and nothing like most other "normal" psychedelic drugs....To me it makes everything sound distorted and out of tune, like a train laying on the horn as it passes by...
Some kind of ambient, minimal music without lyrics might be good....Listening to "feel-good" music on it would seem unusual...I guess you'd have to experiment and find out....Anything Pink Floyd sounds good on just about any drug IMO...
