Does music sound good at high plateaus (DXM)?

Personally, I go for the 3rd plateau for music appreciation, preferably in combination with cannabis, but it can be pretty nice on the second plateau too. I imagine it has something to do with what aspects of the music people are appreciating, if you're going for aficionado type appreciation, the lower plateaux will be more useful. If you want a musically guided journey between the cracks in time, you're going for the higher plateaux.

Yeah, 'cause your average street drug user knows anything at all about the drugs they put into their bodies. 8)

Psychedelic drugs aren't really street drugs, and there's certain drugs that you're absolutely better off trying for the first time with a friend who's done it before and knows the particular batch you're planning on taking, but I'm sure you'd agree with that...

My girlfriend used to do DXM in highschool....The pharmacies in this city keep it behind the counter because everyone was stealing the "Triple Cs"....

I just find it to be a very unpleasant drug experience...Most people I know who've taken it feel the same way. If I was interested in using a psychedelic drug, I wouldn't start with DXM...Some people love it and that's fine, but it's definitely in its own class and nothing like most other "normal" psychedelic drugs....To me it makes everything sound distorted and out of tune, like a train laying on the horn as it passes by...

Some kind of ambient, minimal music without lyrics might be good....Listening to "feel-good" music on it would seem unusual...I guess you'd have to experiment and find out....Anything Pink Floyd sounds good on just about any drug IMO...

I swear to God, the whole "plateau" bullshit makes it sound like DXM is actually a legit drug...It's not...Unless you're in prison, stuck on island with nothing else, or 12 years old and can only get high whatever you can steal from the local pharmacy, it's utter crap that doesn't even warrant a second glance....

The ability to obtain drugs online at super-custy prices and the whole RC thing has given people who don't have the social or the street skills to buy a joint in NorCal during harvest season access to a whole host of drugs they have no business even being near....Natural selection fails...If you can't actually find drugs in real life, you have no fucking business doing them...

As far as how music sounds on different DXM "plateaus"? Man up, find some weed and listen to fucking Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon...

Jesus this world is going downhill...

Whoa, ragemode dude... Must say I felt bit agitated by your comment as I love doing DXM and wouldn't trade the high it blesses me with for any RC I know of or even a drug like L. It's just a very special substance that has qualities not present even in other dissociatives (I speculate sigma activity is part of what makes it so special), and given how people differ in tastes, you should not be surprised that what you view as shit could be a sacrament to another. So careful there, you might have just jumped to irritating someone's religious feelings ;). :o :X

Also note that some people may not want to do RCs due to their mostly unknown nature, especially in terms on neuro- and other toxicity issues. They may not want to get drugs from SR or any illicit ones for that matter due to possibly getting busted for that. So it's actually an advantage that DXM is so friendly u can get it OTC in your pharmacy, and a well-known compound with most of its harmful qualities already discovered to that. 's pure profit and very kewl substance, dood.

For me when tripping on DXM music can differ according to the factors leading to the 2nd and 3rd plateau. DXM by itself can yes, dull the effects of good music so choose carefully. I like to smoke bud when I trip which enhances music. I like to listen to Progressive Metal usually Instrumental stuff.

That actually would be my recommendation: ambient that is more minimal, drone, or spacey. (Back when I did DXM, Klaus Schulze's "Wahnfried 1883" ended up being the best music choice out of all that I tried.) Very active music really doesn't work very well.

DXM actually produced the deepest hole out of all the disassociatives that I tried. Ketamine's cleaner feeling and ultimately the better disassociative in my opinion, but the experience of a high plateau DXM experience is like no other. Even pure DXM powder has more unpleasant side effects than K, but it is *much* cleaner than chugging down shitloads of cough syrup. (I've often wondered if half of DXM's bad reputation comes from the kids that just buy random cough syrup. If you're chugging a lot of guaifenesin with your DXM for instance, you are going to feel *very* shitty.)

First and second plateaus, music is so dreamy and delightful. Transitioning into the third plateau, the tempo seems to fluctuate quite alot, with some sections seeming to slow way down and speed up again. Once you're in the third or higher, the auditorial processing center gets consumed by flanging.

If you are at high plateaus, you shouldn’t be hearing very much of anything at all...

It should be a world made up by your very own imagination...
