I was just wondering if anybody out there would know if Miralax (aka Polyethylene glycol) would interact with oxycodone? Like would it effect the absorption or anything?

Thanks..

well fuck, i just drank a little bit of this MiraLAX stuff and while I was drinking it I came across this on wikipedia which makes me think that it does indeed effect the absorption of opiates and other drugs...

From wikipedia:
"Whole bowel irrigation (polyethylene glycol with added electrolytes) is used for bowel preparation before surgery or colonoscopy and drug overdoses."

So what do you guys think? Thankfully I only took like 2 gulps, so i didn't drink the whole 17grams worth of miraLAX dissolved into water. So hopefully it doesn't stop all the OC from being absorbed...

I am thinking mostly all laxatives and fiber supplements will inhibit drugs (opiates in particular) from being absorbed from the stomach/colon..

Does anyone have any other input on this? "Does the active ingredient in miraLAX (Polyethylene glycol) effect absorption of drugs like opiates, benzo's, etc...??"
