Does milk affect Ecstasy?

Tryptophan has to compete for transport across the BBB with tyrosine, phenylalanine, valine, leucine and isoleucine.

That's interesting. I have a protein shake which has pretty much the full spectrum of amino acids, including ~500mg tryptophan and lots of BCAAs like (iso)leucine.
It definitely helps me recover and I feel much better the day after than without, which I thought was partly due to the tryptophan content (as I don't take 5-HTP). It's probably just preventing malnutrition then (all high bioavailability, easy to absorb even by my decrepit post-roll body), seeing as if I don't drink one I probably wouldn't be able to eat anything.

Halcyon, you are right on. Drinking milk and juice after rolling simply helps replace nutriants that you lost being off your face all night. Drinking a carton of soy milk after rolling or before going to bed from a night of pounding vodka can help you imensely. I recomend soy milk because its almost as good nutriant wise as dairy milk, is easier to drink when feeling like shit, and will not spoil at room temperature or taste sick to Americans. You would be surprised how much better some calories in the tummy can help, you feel better within minutes. The rehydration does not hurt either.

You might be interested in nutritiondata.com, they have the protein profiles for a lot of different meats and things too. Pretty much all meats contain BCAAs and isoleucine, for instance, check out chicken, so if you eat a fair amount of meat or anything protein containing throughout the day you're already getting a lot of these.

The benefit to a postworkout shake is that there is usually a lot of simple sugar too, which stimulates insulin and enhances to uptake of various proteins. Animal protein tends to be absorbed over a much longer period of time; this is why people drink protein shakes after workouts, to try and build and repair their damaged muscles with as much rapidly absorbed protein as possible.

But apologies if that's old news for you, maybe someone will benefit from that info. :)

You'd be surprised how shit not eating after drugs makes you feel, even though the appetite suppression is hard to overcome. ANYTHING is good. Protein shakes are always good because they don't require chewing, and they're tasty.

Try staying up all night and not eating anything for 24 hours without drugs and see how you feel.

it would help to increase the chance of ejaculation while rolling or coming down i think.
