Misc Does Methocarbamol help with the soreness and stiffness from excessive exercise

It will help with the stiffness, seeing that it's a muscle relaxant. It works fairly good for its purpose. Doesn't cause much in the way of euphoria or intoxication, even in high doses. It won't do much for the soreness though... try an anti-inflammatory like Advil (ibuprofen), aspirin, etc. (not paracetamol/acetaminophen - it doesn't have an anti-inflammatory effect)

There's nothing wrong with trying it, I'd say. It's over the counter medicine in Canada (Robaxin, marketed for back pain/muscular spasms/cramps) and probably others (but not in the US, where every relaxant but alcohol is restricted...).

A warm compress or a hot bath will help with the soreness, too.

I find It great for stiff/ sore limbs or joints, especially with ibuprofen. Just don't take too much though; at high doses it can be pretty sedating...if I take too much, I feel like a jelly.

Skelaxin (metaxalone) worked a lot better for me than Robaxin. It is a little hard on the stomach, though, so I have to take it on a full stomach. It also really helps me sleep.

it should help but its very mild.many supplements will help and there otc in the us also.such as kava, valerian root ect.and they produce relaxing effects.
