Opioids Does methadone cause heart palpitations? High blood pressure?

Dear all,

URGENT URGENT NOW, Situqtion worsening,

I took my takehome dose of meth today on top of today's dose. It's only 20 mins since the dose. I used my almost undrinkably hot water technique to speed u the hit. I got a massive rush.

I'm only on 40ml so I've only taken 80mg. Done this many times before but this time i'm slipping in and out, i'm more wasted than i've ever been on opiates, and one time I took 400ml of meth along with 120mg of diazepam.


It this bas taken 20 minutes to get to this point by typing. I am so wasted and keep stopping typing as one mistake make me nod totally out.

I am in a shared house in the South West of the UK. No-one is in and I have no telephone at all. i am a zombie, that is why my sentences are so small.

At what point should I seek medical help? I used to have there pzzaysNaloxone but had to use it all on the love of my life, Sarah, before we broke up. I will have to walk to a phonebox to call 999 if I need but it might be too late.

When do plasma levels peak for methadone? Will I know if I OD?

I've done way much more than this before, i've done 300mg of pure pharm grade diacetylmorphine (heroin) amps that we got through a chemist friend (i'm at a top 5 British uni) IVed after taking the same of temazepam. I'ce tsken 275ml of meth with 16mg clonazepam and my worst I think was 390ml methsdone (13 takehomes i'd savet when on 30ml a day)

Please reply at the soonest possible. Could this be to do with the fact that 7 days ago i'd taken 1.12grams of diazepam over 3 days? mayeb with the halflife theyre still in my system. IM glad I WROTE this message as TV would just make me pass out. This has kinda ekept my brain active. I'm not dicksizing here either just giving past exp to inform. Oh I also took 90 etizolam pellets yesterday but they were bunk - i felt nothing off thr firdt 30, snorted 5 then ate all the rest in one go. Have I made a major mistake? Those etizolsms did nothing at all, but maybe in the 90 tabs there was just enough to give me a few milligrams

Please reply ASAP. It would break my Mum if I died. I feel waaaaaaaaaaay too stoned for 80ml o meth, i think my hot water method of tking it must work for me even if no-one else.
 
OH HOLY SHIT.

It was a new pharmcy worker today, i'd never seen her and she's given me someone called Ralph Ingrid's meth, not mine. He's on 65ml.

So I've taken 130 in truth
 
What do you want to do buddy? We cant reach through the comp screen and perform CPR.

If your tolerant to 40mg and you took 130mg, then yes that is an (possibly dangerous overdose).
Methadone takes hours to peak and acculates with everyday dosing so in real terms your prob on more then that at the moment.

RING 999!!!

Theres nothing else Bluelight can do to help.
 
I'm fine now, well not fine - I had a dream that my ex fiance was next to me, then woke up to find she wasn't and then burst into tears and begged for God to strike me down, which is a daily routine. Strange - when I am possibly dying of an overdose I worry, but when i'm not, I welcome death; walking in front of cars, slashing my wrists and throat, stabbing myself. I think i'm worried about brain damage but not death.
 
It sounds to me like you have some mental issues to deal with mate.
Your high BP and palpitations could be symptoms of an anxiety disorder and you sound depressed as well.

Best advice is to see a doctor asap.
Im glad that your OD wasnt fatal, please see someone before your in this situation again.
Next time you might not be so lucky!.
 
I was told by my doc that methadone CAN cause some heart 'electrical problems' in some people, I actually have to get an EKG done once a year since I am prescribed methadone, mine always comes out OK, but the doctor said some people, methadone can cause heart problems related to the 'electric' pulses of the heart, or something like that, she explained it, but hard to understand.

its called long QT syndrome and its an arrythmia (the heart beating out of time).
Thankfully its not common but it can be serious.

In the OPs case i think its more likely anxiety but he should see a doctor anyway.
 
Yes, long QT killed ORLAAM (an analogue of methadone you could take twice a week). I bet they let it go on longer and more people trying to get OFF the stuff off it... in the morgue.
