Does making powder into lines increase how much is absorbed (surface area spread)?

I've always been under the assumption that doing drugs intranasally in lines leads to more absorption/is better than just snorting up a pile of powder. Does the slower uptake (moving down a line with a straw) increase how much surface area the powder hits (therefore making more absorb)?

I'd like to know because in some situations (outside of home or porous surfaces) - it is hard/a bitch to be making lines.

I doubt it matters at all, but I'm asking in regard to opioids.

If you snort small amounts over a longer period of time, at least in theory, more of the substance is absorbed in your nose because less of it is being blocked by other powder.

I find the most effective way is to snort half of whatever it is that you're snorting, wait a solid 10 or 15 minutes, and then snort the other half.

I know that. That isn't what I'm asking. Re-read the question. I'm talking lines vs piles, not the size or frequency of the lines.

I would say snorting the exact same amount in a line as opposed to a pile is not going to cause much difference. IF you snort enough binders your epithelial cells in your mucosal membrane will get clogged and this will effect the rate of absorption.

Unless you did as NT said, I can't see there being any difference.

Thanks. Out of curiosity - what would you consider to be enough binders to really hamper amsorbtion rate - an amount you wouldn't be comfortable with? Use an 8mg Dilaudid triangle for as an example - how many mg of that pill type? Or use a different example if you're unfamiliar.

I've never snorted the 8mg Dilaudid's, only the 2s and 4s, and I can say there is very minimal filler so if you're breaking it into lines and taking a break between the lines you should be good to go. :)
