Stimulants does magnesium have any effect on adderall?

what do you mean effect? on the high, absorption, comedown?

i think it lowers stomach acidity so it could potentiate the adderall.
and its an NMDA-antagonist so it helps keep amph tolerance low.
IME its most beneficial use is for bruxism and muscle tremors.

Umm...Magnesium Citrate is a quite powerful laxative if it's in liquid form, I'm stopped up from taking more than 450 pills by Rx every month and it was like intestinal drain-o for me. Had me going for the next 3 days. It'll probably go through you quicker as you're probably not as constipated as I, but you should expect to sit on the toilet for quite a while. They use this stuff to clear you out before a long surgery if that gives you any kind of indication how well it works. If you have pills, that's a different story. Those are just a magnesium supplement. Don't take more than 350mg. As far as how it will affect your amphetamine, I have no Idea except speed your bowels up more than the go.

^Sekio is right, MagCitrate is the second best Magnesium supplement for dealing with jaw clenching, muscle spasms, magnesium deficiency, "general awesome feeling-ness" (I love Magnesium), etc.

Doug, I think the MagCitrate pills are the same, it's just that the liquid Magnesium Citrate has the equivalent of 85 200mg tablets (17 grams) in there.

Yup...that's the proper amount. 17.xxg/10 oz. bottle...human drain-o lol...

I had to use it this past week.....

There's only 290 mg elemental magnesium per fluid ounce in the saline laxative solution. The mg content threshold for a laxative effect is about 1000mg, more or less depending on the person. 2900 mg of magnesium in a 10 fluid ounce bottle is more than enough to induce a laxative effect.

The atomic mass/weight per mol of Magnesium citrate is 118.392 grams. The atomic mass/weight per mol of Magnesium is 24.3 grams. (source)

So the percentage of Magnesium present in Magnesium citrate is roughly 20.525%. If you take this and multiply it by 17.45 grams, you get 3,582mg of elemental magnesium, which isn't much more than your figure. A child's dose of is to be estimated at about half of an adults; therefore, a child's dose would be around 8,725mg of magnesium citrate, which contains approximately 1,777mg of elemental magnesium, so your dose falls right in between the max adult dose and the pediatric dose of magnesium used to induce bowel movement. They're gonna put a little bit more for more sever cases of constipation, which is kind of like what I was experiencing. Just take into consideration that Mg is a very small part of C6-H6-Mg-O7.

Every magnesium citrate bottle I've ever used says each fl ounce is equal to 290 mg elemental mg. almost all sources I've come across state the magnesium content to be about %16.http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/magnesium

From the website you used I got 24.3/((6 x 12.01) + (6 x 1.00700) + 24.30 + (7 x 15.99) = 214.33200)≈11 percent. That would agree with wikipedias page for mg citrate so who knows what the exact amount. I just go with what the bottle says and dont worry about it.

Yup...I had a fluke on the oxygen, forgot to multiply it by 7. And actually, multiplying 11% by 17.45g (source for dosage) equals 1.9195 or approx. 1,920 mg per 10 oz bottle. 1,920/10=192 per bottle. "Consuming an adult dose of 10 oz of laxative syrup (@ 1.745 g/oz) implies a consumption of 17.45 g of magnesium citrate in a single 10 oz dose resulting in a consumption of approximately 2.0 g of elemental magnesium per single dose. (also taken directly from wikipedia)" So I have no idea what you're trying to prove. That wasn't the point of my post though, you were arguing with someone with about a dosage of Magnesium citrate. He said nothing about the amount of Magnesium in Magnesium Citrate.

The OP's question was what effect will Magnesium citrate have on amphetamine? The answer was, it will either make you shit (in dose currently being spoken of) or it will help with muscle tension, muscle spasms, jaw clinching (small doses). That was the point of the thread. All you did was come in, try to correct someone that didn't need to be corrected (i.e. Ergic) with an incorrect answer, and then correct my math mistake, which, in the end, didn't matter because what you were trying to prove was incorrect. The thread has been answered. This is just kind of pointless arguing now.

My original 290 mg elemental figure per ounce came directly from a cvs bottle of the solution. I wasn't arguing with anybody, you read far too into it. I was trying to help people determine what dose would induce a laxative effect and clarify how much elemental mg is in the solution with my original post, my second post was just me speculating about how much magnesium is actually in mg citrate.

Look closely at my second post, I said "That would agree with wikipedias page for mg citrate so who knows the exact amount." I said that because of the conflicting information on the amount. It's pertinent to the topic bc magnesium that is shit out is wasted. I didn't intend to offend you. I was honestly trying to be helpful. You'll see neither of my post are confrontational or rude corrections. When somebody say "who knows the exact amount", that generally means they aren't arrogantly correcting somebody else on the exact amount.

Chelated Magnesium specifically is good for resetting your tolerance to amphetamine salts. It's extremely hard to find, though. My boyfriend found some at a vegan/health-food store and it's legitimately the only place we found around where we live that carries it.

Sorry...I'm in a lot of pain constantly and it has been significantly worse recently...I'm usually not so quick to jump on people, but I have been the past few days. Once again, though. Sorry.
