Does LSD make you like arpeggios?

This is an easy one, folks. Arpeggios are an element of music. LSD makes music absurdly awesome. So yes, LSD makes you like arpeggios.

the answer to this thread is; yes. LSD does in fact make you like arpeggios. There was some advanced drug discussion in regards to some results with rats being blasted with eurotrance at perdue university. MAPS is doing some advanced funding drive for further research in the fall.

Very subjective and specific I agree, but what is less specific is that on LSD, I can appreciate complexity a lot. And arpeggios are indeed complications or extensions of an existing melody. A reason why I probably appreciate complexity a lot on LSD is because I also seem more capable of comprehending or processing a lot of parallel information.

I mean, I have heard enough times that people said: on LSD it seems like I can hear the separate tracks or layers in a song in crystal clarity.

But I have friends who are a little allergic to arpeggios and tend to find it cheesy in music like trance music. Perhaps less so in classical music. But still, that limits your affinity for arpeggios: pre-existing preferences do not magically go away. :)

Totally agree with all of the above.

Heh, I totally understand what the OP is getting at. I make electronic music (and in my rock bands as well) with this mindset quite often. Writing music on psychedelics is reccomended!!!

psychedelics are meant to be used along side psychedelic trance
how can you even consider daft punk !? for me that's a 100% bummer all the way (really?! on acid !? sick and perverted) :D

Next time you eat 2-3 doses watch interstella 5555 and tell me daft punk and acid don't go together.

Philip Glass is AMAAAZING while tripping! Or watch Koyaanisquatsi, Baraka, or other Ron Fricke films (featuring precisely synchronized Glass scores) tripping, they will BLOW YOUR MIND, especially in a dark room, on a big high def screen, sound LOUD on big speakers w/ subwoofer. Whoa.

Glass: Symphony no 5 (Choral): Requiem, Bardo, Nirmanakaya is also really really astounding on drugs. You will definitely be transported!

Arpeggios galore, haha!

On LSD, give me the classics, Yes, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and Genesis. Or some old Grateful Dead, CSNY, and Beatles.
As for arpeggios, it depends on what you do with one. Check out John McLaughlin and Mahavishnu Orchestra. That's tripping music!
