Does ketamine give you black lips, and if so, how?

I've never used it myself but I've noticed this in various other people who have been using it heavily. At first I thought it may be due to chewing, but I've never noticed anyone having the same problem while grinding on anything else.

Just curious!

Maybe as a secondary symptom of walking into door frames, eating pavement, etc.

Haha, perhaps!

It's definitely a thing, dude - 90% of people at a free party I recently attended were using it, and I noticed that people who had been taking large amounts had some seriously discoloured lips. Strange one.

were you doing drugs at this party ? if so that explains the wierd thing you saw

Iv seen this before with Ketamine. Never knew what it was from.

It isn't blue lips like lack of blood flow/oxygen ime but like a black slime/sticky stuff.

My mate could have been on amps by this point.

Never heard of it and don't know what would make it happen. Was this party a blackberry pie eating contest or a goth make-out soiree perchance?

This is evidence for my pie theory. Bakers Square would make a killing setting up franchises near dubstep clubs.

Your lips should only turn black if you're in a gothy lipstick phase.

Ketamine should not cause blueness/blackness in your face or extremities, ever...

(It could also be regurgitaed mucous, or tar from smoking, or if you hang out with the kind of people who cut ketamine with Grape Kool Aid...)

My best bet would be vitamin defiency...

Do those people who get black lips all get the same K? If so it might be a contaminant although then I still have almost no idea what sort of thing might be happening... could some metals cause this? There would have to be a shitload of iron to do that, probably not.

Is the K used snorted or injected or orally? (Hmm probably not relevant tho)

Mine go darky brown after I've been chewing on them for ages and the skin on the outside has died, but it definitely isn't a black.

On a side-note, I really don't understand why you would want to do ketamine at a party...

because its the best party drug ever ever :) its true potential is as entheogen/psychedelic/etc but take some at some twisted party(not some mainstream type of party) and its the best drug for party ever

i haven't seen or experianced any lips coloration with ketamine and i have expearicane with it

Another thing to note is ketamine has been noted to greatly enhance salivary/mucous production in some cases.
Not only this, but I find it alters the structure of saliva into a more foam-like form. I think I have to admit this actually being a recurring theme during sessions, the weird bubbling foam in my mouth becoming an object of hallucinations, I could feel it taking various exotic forms such as the form of a dragon (I was probably subconsciously thinking of gandalf and his mystical pipe at this point). Once it escalated to me being so excited I spat the contents of my mouth and started searching for my camera to photograph this amazing, most extraordinary saliva until I came to my senses.

No dragons to take pictures of, but hey, it was definately foam atleast. :)

I've had a little black on my lips a couple of times after free parties... I've taken K at every party though and I don't remember it ever happening outside of a party environment so it's probably down to my lips being dry and the tar from smoke?

That was fantastic. A+.

Everyone was snorting as far as I'm aware, and not all of them had K from the same guy. Strange one indeed.

I've noticed people getting some seriously stanky breath while using it too, could be related? Very interesting story though... if you ever manage to document said dragon, please let me know!
