Does Ibuprofen potentiate opioids?

I took 150 mg of ibuprofen yesterday along with his usual dose of Tianeptine (an anti-depressant with opioid receptor affinity) and analgesia was insane. I experienced full body euphoria. The feeling felt similar to the first few days of Tianeptine's "honey-moon period" but much, much more powerful. I was so numb he could barely feel his face with his hands. I have never done opioids before but this is how he imagines a heavy dose of morphine would feel. There has to be synergistic action between ibu and tianeptine. But what is the mechanism?

800 mg of motrin makes me sleepy as hell, weird. And if I mix tylenol with opana it makes me sleepy.

Everyone reacts different when you toss OTC meds in the mix.

You can google to see the reactions to certain med mixtures.

No need to use SWIM in BL. I don't think it's even allowed anymore.
Anyway, I don't think ibuprofen would make it any more stronger than an antiallergic for instance, as it´s prescribed sometimes to avoid itching but it ends up causing drowsiness.
I would not suggest mixing meds like that as it could cause unexpected reactions. As LilikoiMoon just mentioned everyone is different.

Thats interesting... According to what you linked, they found that combining ephedra with a dose of morphine caused about as much analgesia as double the same amount of morphine taken alone. I'll have to give this a try the next time I am in the need of some pain relief.

Side note: I've seen it speculated that high doses of aspirin taken shortly before dosing tianeptine could possibly alter tianeptines effects (I don't remember by what mechanism, or whether or not it positively or negatively affected tianeptines effects). I can't seem to find much searching around at the moment...
