Does grapefruit juice potentiate ALL benzodiazepines?

The fact that grapefruit juice potentiates the effects of alprazolam/Xanax seems to be fairly well-known.

However, does this effect extend to other benzodiazepines as well? Specifically, diazepam?

Just curious- I did a search and the only thing I found addressed was alprazolam.

Please advise, thanks!

Any other juices that potentiate benzo's ?

Or should I ask what exactly in grapefruit juice potentiates benzos?

Diazepam is only partially metabolized by cyp 3A4, the enzyme that mainly metabolizes alprazolam, triazolam, brotizolam and midazolam. Thus, grapefruit juice might have a mild effect on the high but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular.

sorry for the dumb question, but how well does grapefruit juice effect oxycodone ? I saw that it does something in a past post, but I haven't experienced anything grand by doing it. Do you drink the juice before or after? I definately saw it increase valium on the other hand..

Oxycodone is not known to be metabolized by cyp 3A4, the enzyme that grapefruit juice inhibits -- so no, grapefruit juice won't do anything for an oxy high.
